Avia Grit Sport Women’s Hiking Boots, Mid Top Ankle Trail Shoes for All Weather

I can almost always be found in serious, heavy, solid hiking boots. I like the protection. However, on blazing Summer days, I've been experimenting with both the Merrill hiking shoe And these. These Avia's are plenty comfortable, airy, (compared to my Waterproofs), and just plain lighter weight. While I don't go crossing deep water in them, They work well for quick, easy hikes on hot days. They also clean well with detergent and a sponge. For the flash sale price, I have No Complaints.

These are very comfortable and lightweight like it says, I recommend these shoes they are worth it. I am very pleased.

They seemed to be well made and justed as pictured. Size up because the boots are small.

Comfortable and easy to walk sneakers.

I didn’t think I’d like these shoes when they arrived. They didn’t seem to have enough flex. I ended up wearing them over 6 hours the first day and my feet weren’t sore. They are narrow like I like and support my feet without them slipping in the shoe. They do run small. I had to switch to the thinnest sock I could find. I bought a 7 1/2 and should have gotten an 8 which I have never bought before.

Ordered a 10 and it said 10 on the tongue but fits a size 8 foot perfectly. Must be mislabeled or a misprint somewhere. Tried them on and my toe was pushing against the front of the shoe. I am normally a size 9-9.5 so should have been fine. Passed on to the size 8 person.

Gave these a try and liked so much, picked up a second pair. Usually wear a 6.5 or a 7, but sized up to a 7.5 to make sure I could wear thick socks - and also, my foot is wedge shaped, wide across the toe with a narrow heel. So with a slimmer toe shape on these, wanted to make sure the front of my foot wasn't getting pinched. Personally wouldn't wear these in rough terrain, but for light hiking and everyday (like trips to grocery or doctor) find myself reaching for these time and again. Think they would be good for city sightseeing too. With good socks, found them very comfy for my high arches, out of the box, even with planar fasciatis that flares up. Really like the protected feel of the plush ankle padding, and light weight. Has become a go-to, multi-season shoe. Will probably get a few more pairs to stash, because it's awful when a great product vanishes, and love these! As I've gotten older, I don't like flimsy shoes; these remind me of wearing dance training shoes with the high ankle; comfortable, protected, and secure.
