I finally found the perfect phone mount for my car, and let me tell you, it fixes all the problems I had with my last one! Here's why this mount is a winner: Secure Grip: My old mount's flimsy arms wouldn't hold my phone securely. This one has powered brackets that cradle the phone from the bottom and sides, perfectly fitting its shape. No more worrying about drops! Smart Auto Open/Close: My previous mount would stay clamped shut if I forgot to remove my phone before turning off the car. This one has a built-in capacitor that keeps the powered arms open for a while even after losing power. Plus, it automatically closes around your phone when you start the car – genius and so convenient! The motor is smooth and quiet too. Fast Charging: Unlike my last mount, this one charges my phone at full speed, even with a case on. On a recent drive with navigation running, it actually charged my phone by 15%! Super Secure Vent Clip: The vent mount on this one is top-notch. It has two secure padded jaws that tighten with a screw mechanism. It's rock-solid and hasn't budged since I installed it. Even better, it won't damage my car's vent louvers like my flimsy old mount did. Overall, this phone mount gets an A+! It's well worth the price and a huge improvement over my previous mount. I highly recommend it!

It charges pretty well but doesn’t really stay in place in my car. That is an issue in my behalf not the product. My vehicle has circular ac vents so it doesn’t stay well. I gave it to my husband & he loves it.

This is the one! Do not get anything else. It answers all the problems and shortcomings illuminated by my last powered, vent-mount phone holder: 1) The previous one didn't hold the phone well because the arms were mounted to the bottom of the unit and pinched in like a set of tongs. Minimal security. This one has powered supports that come up from the bottom, and in from the sides, parallel -- as in, square, which is the shape of your phone. Holds the phone securely. 2) The previous one didn't open if you forgot to take the phone out of the holder before you turn your car off. This one actually has a capacitor inside that keeps the powered arms functioning for quite a time after it loses power, so you push the button and it opens up. It also closes on your phone after you start the car and the unit receives power. Automatic and intuitive. And the motor is very smooth and almost silent. 3) The previous one did not charge the phone on high charge rate when in the holder. My phone has a plastic cover on it, just like your phone and everyone else's. This one charges at full rate -- in a 45-minute drive using a navigation app with the screen on the whole time, it charged 12% positive. 4) The vent mount on this one is VERY SECURE. There are two thin, cushioned jaws that operate parallel to each other and are held secure by a screwed-on mechanism. It's infinitely more secure than my last one. It hasn't moved a millimeter since I installed it. And it's better for the car -- there's no wear on the vent louvers from an unsecured vent mount. Overall, it's an A+!! And, at the price I paid, an extremely good value. All told, a very, very good product.

Rating: 1/5 Stars (The single star is for the auto-clamping arms—the only thing that worked properly.) Do not be fooled by the "15W Fast Charger" label! This MOKPR Wireless Car Charger is not a convenience; it's a liability. Charging Speed is a LIE: It charges so slowly that if you dare to run Waze or Google Maps (the reason you need a car charger!), your phone's battery percentage will either stagnate or actually drop. I have tried multiple QC 3.0 adapters as suggested—it makes no difference. It consistently fails to deliver enough power to keep up with basic GPS use. It is functionally worse than a 5W standard charger. Overheating Hazard: The absolute worst offense is the extreme heat generation. After 30 minutes of attempting to charge with my navigation running, my phone was torching hot. The charger itself was scorching to the touch. This kind of heat is dangerous for the phone's long-term battery health and is a potential safety hazard in the car. Terrible Mount Stability: The vent mount is cheap and ineffective. It relies on a weak ball joint that constantly loosens, causing the phone to droop, wobble, and sag with every turn and bump. I spent more time adjusting the mount than I did actually using the phone safely. This charger is deceptive, unreliable, and potentially damaging to your expensive phone. MOKPR should be ashamed of selling this as a "Fast Charger." AVOID THIS PRODUCT.

Love how it hooks to the vent so it is at myevel so I can use gps when I need to and not have to hold it. Works very well. Would def recommend to people.

While this is generally convenient, I would prefer if it stayed open when the car is switched off. It's a minor quirk that doesn't detract from the overall performance but could be an improvement point for future models. A surprising bonus is that the holder seems to have some kind of internal battery. Even with the USB cord unplugged, it can operate a few times, which can be handy in certain situations. The charging speed is impressive, and I've had no issues with overheating or inconsistent charging. It works well with my phone case, eliminating the need to remove it for charging. The charger itself worked very well was a good quality piece of kit, easy to install and held securely to the air vent, after over a year of owning the charger the vent clip broke but the Star Map customer service was second to none that I have ever dealt with, they quickly helped with the issue without any fuss and resolved the problem very professionally, I would definately buy from them again in the future.

Good product and the second I’ve purchased in recent months, as I was impressed with the one I bought for my wife’s car. However both have started to not open automatically to clamp and hold the phone when you start the engine. They both now need a helping hand to open up, hence 4 out of 5 stars. The latest purchase is only 1 month old. Otherwise a good solid phone holder which clamps well onto car air vents and charges phones well even with their cases on. Update 15th Jan 26: Contacted seller as the clamping arms stopped completely. Good communication from them, but they sent a different MOKPR replacement (the magnetic circular holder) so that we wouldn’t experience the same problem. Sadly my iPhone 16e just slid off this, as the magnetic hold is too weak. On reading the instructions, it advertises using a MagSafe phone case to work best with this product. So whilst we applaud the seller for their communication and attempt to resolve our issue, it just comes at more expensive for us. We hope our experience helps you consider the purchase of either product.
