Q: whats the width of the part that attach to the jack? the toyota jack is 12mm. i bought another product like this but was 10mm and didnt fit. thanks

i dont know, but i have toyotas and this is working fine with them.

Q: Any recommendation as to whether it is better to use a drill or an impact wrench with this item to jack up a vehicle?

So far I've only used it to jack up the rear tire of my motorcycle on my lift but I prefer the drill because it's steadier turning (variable battery operated)

I have no idea as about 98% of products sold in USA are made in China from US patents... Based on the price, it would seem to me to be made here...but I don't really know. I bought this over 2 years ago...!

If you are talking about a scissor jack with loop style connector, then this would most likely replace your handle assuming you have the 1/2" impact wrench or drill adapter to do the turning.
