Tropical Sunset Eyeshadow Palette, 12 Highly Pigmented Colors, Professional Talc-Free Eye Makeup

I am generally not one for bright eyeshadow but, with summer finally here, this palette looked like it would be fun to play with. The shades are bright and sunny and, best of all, matte. I don't think I would wear these shades if they were shimmery or glittery. That would be over the top for someone like in their 50's like me. But because they're matte, I can pull them all off, even the very bright shades. They have medium pigment. They're not sheer at all but they also aren't very thick. They can be layered if I want more intensity. The charcoal shade makes a good liner when I dip a brush into water and apply it. The shadow stays on pretty well. I usually use an eyeshadow primer under all eyeshadows and that helps these shadows to have staying power and to apply evenly. A few of the shades do fade a bit after four or five hours hours but they don't disappear or fade so much that they look patchy or washed out. This palette is a fun change from the neutrals and conventional shades I wear. I removed a star only because a few shades do fade a bit but, in general, the shadows hold up pretty well even in hot weather.

So I don't wear a lot of makeup from China usually, but I loved that this was talc-free (that's so rare) and the beachy 90s color story was adorable. Exceptions can be made.I did a test swatch of all the colors. The most pigmented were the purple, orange, red, and black. The black is especially pigmented so be careful with that one. I'm actually happy the colors aren't too saturated because I'm pretty pale and I'm going to use these as accent colors when I blend, but if you're hoping for darker shades, you may be disappointed.Colors are silky in the pan and seem to build and blend well. They feel good when you apply them and don't flake. I kind of love this.

This pallete has a beautiful color story. It's all mattes. The packaging is fabulous. It has a mirror and a silver/ gold cover. It comes from Narrative cosmetics which specializes in blood f/x makeup. Basically it's a stage makeup company. I expected this pallete to be really good. I began swatching the shades and they don't seem to be very vibrant at all. They're very lacking! I honestly haven't had a chance to try on my eyes but I don't have high hopes. If it ends up shocking me and looking great I'll update. Right now I wouldn't recommend this.

I am so pleased that I found this eyeshadow palette, the colors are actually exactly as shown in the pictures.These are all mattes, including the white!It’s so hard to find a matte white without it being frosted (why?)This alone sold me on this palette and I am pleased.The colors are bold and works great as a liner topper.Aside from the white, I have only used the other colors dampened and as liners, or toppers.Really nice colors and I am so happy for an all matte palette for a change.

The Narrative Cosmetics palette is indeed highly pigmented. I've never tried a white eyeshadow that left as much white as this one does. These are more powdery, less creamy, but still deposit a lot of color. You will find some flyaway powder during use, so be cautious of that. This is a handy little palette for those who need some bursts of color here and there or crave big, bold looks. I found removing the eyeshadow was easy with makeup remover and it did not stain my skin.

These eyeshadows are beautiful! They are bold and bright and perfect for summer! I was a little iffy about them over the computer screen but in person these are so gorgeous! They can blend out lighter than you see in the palette or go for the bold look in a few spots on the lid and these colors really pop!I love this palette!Good value and great quality eyeshadows!

The colors in this palette are so vivid and vibrant, and they go on so easily. One touch of the powder to your skin gets a really bold dark color, there is no need to layer to try to make it show up. I appreciate that it includes a mirror too. Lots of beautiful shades to get creative with.

I won't be using some of the shades in the palette, but the ones I use are highly pigmented, easy to blend and they stay on all day. I'm especially excited about the matte white. This shade is almost impossible to find.
