It works fine.
The unit is easy to use and clean. It heats pretty fast and shuts off on it's own. The pop-up top is a little glitchy to open but eventually works.

Efficient shape! Short and squat instead of tall & tapered.
I actually have loved this thing so far. It's like a toaster for water! It's only been 6 wks but it works fast and is just the right size, with an opening I can fit my hand into to wash the inside. And I love the viewing window. My only complaints are thatA) when I opened the box it looked like it had been returned to the vendor, and then shipped to me without checking it between customers, because the outside of the kettle had large finger smears on it and it was resting in the box with zero packaging or padding. But the inside of the kettle looked brand new, never been touched. So I kept it.B) I haven't used it much and it's got little spots in the finish inside like the beginning of water scaling, but This might be totally normal for the inside of a kettle, I have never had one before. Plus Vegas tap water is fairly hard. So I wouldn't call this a product defect, more like an inevitable wear issue with kettles. I will say that I always empty the extra water out of it promptly, and I close the lid once the inside is dried. But so far I'm happy not boiling water in the microwave anymore!Update: it's been well over a year and we use this thing twice a day and it's performing great. The scaling that appeared that first month hasn't really progressed, and we should be de-scaling it anyway we just don't. Anyway I'm v satisfied, what a good value.

Quick to boil
Love this electric kettle. Takes only couple minutes to boil the water. Love the feature that it automatically turns off after the water is boiled. The size is just right for my husband and me to make two big cup of tea or instant coffee every morning. Good product.

Kettling
I love my new kettle. It’s perfect. The water heats quickly and stays warm for a good period. So i can make multiple cups of tea. No more microwave water for me.😊

This is a perfect sized kettle for me and looks cute
This is a perfect sized kettle for me. It is also BPA-free. Only con is the base. As some reviewers already mentioned, it is made of very light plastic and does not sit well on the kitchen counter even though the power code is very sturdy. The spout can be a little smaller and it is important to know the the exterior gets hot.ETA: My kettle turned out to be defective. When I contacted the customer service at Ovente, they promptly shipped a new one. They are very responsive. I am a happy customer!Update: The kettle finally died after 5 years of every day use. It appears to be a base issue rather than the kettle itself. A metal part on the base became loose. It served well while it worked.

One year later...
Initially I was pleased - nice looking and worked well (do be aware of the warned very hot exterior). One year later I now am seeing rust spots around the rim and around the pour spout. It is also very hard to clean the outside - shows water spots easily. The inside (of 1.2 liter) is difficult to clean. The top lid is becoming harder to open - at first just a couple of times, now quite often. I've also seen some darkening around the pot heating element - I'm concerned and ready to replace. Since purchased in April 2019, I expected this product to last longer - sadly will be replacing.

Heats water very well, nice small capacity, a few irritating habits
I wanted to be in love with this kettle. It works well to heat water and I have it so we will partner for the duration, I imagine. However, it is not what I wanted even thought it appeared it was. I'm picky so maybe it is just me but I will share what I don't like and why in case it aligns with anyone else's interests.I was looking for a pot that would heat just around 1 liter and did not take up much counter space. I had a Hamilton Beach plastic one for years that was nearly perfect except it was plastic and my kitchen is stainless and my counters pretty spare. I used it daily but always stored it in a cabinet between uses. My goal was to find something that looked nice and did not take a lot of space. I was not sure if I would try to leave it on the counter or put it away. As it turns out, the bottom for this is very lightweight and the cord heavyweight. Consequently, it flops around when the kettle is not on it. That might not be an issue unless you want to put it in a cabinet. The bottom and a pretty long cord have to be dealt with and it is not friendly. The thickness of the cord means it won't "wind up" or lie neatly in a drawer. It just unfurls. And, when you lift it, the cord come out of the U shaped slot that it sits in to allow the base to sit flat on the counter. Consequently, putting it in a drawer or cabinet is a two-handed, two step, one unfurl thing. It is irritating for a frequent maneuver. I said to myself, well, just leave it on the counter. But, while it is smaller, it is shorter and not a lot narrower than large pots.It takes a pretty decent bit of real estate. It is not huge but certainly it is of consequence. Right now, since it is winter and I drink more tea, it is sitting on the counter. Sometimes when I remove the heavier pot the lightweight base tips slightly and the cord comes out of the U so I have to re-position the base before I put the kettle back on it.The second concern that I have, and one that may foreshadow a divorce, is that the spring-release for the top is not 100% reliable. Sometimes it opens fine and sometimes it sticks. On bad days, I have to turn the water off, put the kettle on the counter and fiddle with it. Maybe I have a cranky one or maybe it does not like me but it is concerning when the pot is only a few months old.

Works well. Base is flimsy.
At $16.98 (May 2023) was a good value. Have been using for over 2 months and it has been great. Top opens up for access to clean it. Only negative is that the base is very lightweight and tends to move around when returning the kettle to the base. Not really as big a problem as I initially thought it would be but my previous kettle had a heavy base that I preferred. Good value for under $20.

Calentamiento demasiado tiempo
