I was delivered on time, and my computer is up running again immediately after plugging in the adapter.

My son brought this to me because it smelt like fire. Sure enough one of the prongs on the black box was missing the prong and there was melted plastic everywhere.

I have a couple of Vivobooks (Ultra 155h, Ultra 185h) and I needed a third docking situation adapter to always be there and not need to connect or disconnect my other adapters that are for on the go use.This adapter is well enough built and has held up for the weeks I've been testing it even under load.How this adapter works with so many Asus models is it has a standard tip type but also includes a couple of adapters to attach to the end to convert it to other sizes to fit other models of Asus notebooks. I like this approach as Asus does tend to use the same adapters across numerous laptops but with slightly different tips.While this adapter will work with bigger models, be wary of how much power they require to pull as this could shorten the lifespan of your adapter. For example, testing it on a G18 just to see what it could handle saw the adapter fail and the system shut down but measuring the pull from the wall I was approaching 300w.On the Vivobooks, I pulled ~180w under a sustained dual load and it had no problems and works as advertised.

Works like it is supposed to. Looks nice and new.

Bought this in July, died 6 months later. Dissapointed

Worked fine for 5 months before dying. Not a long enough lifespan yo be worth buying.

The plug lacks a reliable fit to the computer. It can come loose just by moving the laptop to a new position. I may need to send this back because it fails to meet the dimensional specs of the original ASUS power supply.

This charger looks and works like the original ASUS charger, powering and charging a compatible laptop. It looks like the original ASUS adapter and has ROG branding on the front, but the labelling on the back is different and there’s no ASUS logo. In the labelling on the back, the address of ASUS’s German subsidiary remains, but the ‘U’ in ASUS has been changed to ‘S’.The adapter says it’s manufactured by Dongguan Speed Ronda Electronic Technology Co Ltd, which is obviously a Chinese company, and like the original ASUS adapter, it’d made in China. There’s no UL logo, but there are CE (EU) and TÜV (German) logos.Overall, this charger works as expected, and I can recommend it.
