Anyone ever thought of taking this on airplanes?

i guess you could ship it, but why?

Is there a way to lock or secure it? & how easy is it to carry up & down stairs?

Nothing to secure this bike. There is simply an on and off switch that can be accessed by anyone anytime. I use a standard bike lock to secure it when necessary. To move it isn’t to crazy. I can lift it onto a bike rack no problem alone, but it a lil heavy.

How heavy is the battery? How heavy is the bike without the battery?? And how easy is it to take the battery out for easier lifting into trunk?

The battery set weighs 18.6 lbs. The assembled product weighs 63.4 lbs with the battery and 44.8 lbs without. The battery was not designed to be removed regularly. It can be done when needed, however removing the battery is a 12-step process and consists of unscrewing/screwing about 15 screws and bolts.

Is it chain drivin or how does the power transfer to the back tire?

Rear hub motor, directly drives the wheel. No chain. Not sure what the people who say there is a chain are looking at. 🤔
