I'm really pleased with this. What I like the most is the audible alert when something is approaching from behind, very often before one hears it, so one can be prepared, also on a descent if one knows there is nothing behind one is then able to use more of the road. The only note of caution is that if then the car or bike behind then matches one's speed then it will disappear. I also tend to be given a wider berth most of the time from vehicles passing; I'm not sure why. The camera gives adequate videos for vehicle recognition, and can save "incidents", and the light is switchable and very good. It just managed to perform on a 7 hour bike ride with all functions on with daylight flash. It's paired to my Garmin Explore 2, which is good, and gives visual alerts, although I tend to look at the road and scenery as the audible alert is all I now tend to notice. Love it 😃

Great bit of kit, I bought this after so many close calls with inconsiderate drivers.The radar function is brilliant. It picks up cars from around 50 metres behind. I have linked this to my garmin edge so when cars approach you get an audible “Bleep” and will show you on the screen how far behind and how many cars there are. The recording playback is crisp and sharp.on quieter roads you can ride two or three abreast knowing is any cars approaching will be picked up early enough for you to drop into single file. It’s an expensive bit of kit but I’ve used it for around 8 months and I wouldn’t go cycling without one. I opted for the radar with camera however, you can purchase just the radar which costs less.

Absolutely awful, does not worknas advertised so is not fit for purpose, garmin support also useless explained everything then after 25mins was advised to check all the troubleshooting the web suggested (i had clearly already done this) so no resolutikn and theirnonly answe email some videos for us to look at

I bought this to replace a standard Varia which i loved. After getting sick of disrespectful motorists and dangerous driving i decided i needed a camera. I am already heavily invested into Garmin products and this connects up brilliantly with the Garmin Edge devices. If i want to book mark a recording i can do this from my Edge device. The radar function is brilliant alerts me to car approaching, and you can setup your Edge to tell you the speed they approach. It seems a bit of a daft gimmick however i am lost without this functionality. It's like an extra pair of eyes in the back of your head and great for single track lanes . Initially i used the supplied mount however i recommend looking at the mounts that connect directly to the saddle for better coverage. If your conscious of weight then its not exactly light and quite a chunky unit. Footage is crystal clear during the daytime. I haven't had any issues looking back and recovering the registration plates. However, in low light it does struggle. From a safety and peice of mind this is a must have for any cyclists. It's not cheap and there are alternatives on the market. However the Radar and camera function combined are a perfect match.

Love this it is easy set up. Fantastic video footage, great light. Robust bit of kit, doesn’t snap into holder you lock it in so it isn’t going anywhere. Bought this as cars were coming very very close to me in fact one day I could touch the car, freaked me out, so invested in this. It’s great for warning you how many cars are behind you especially if you are coming up to a turn and need to move to centre line. You normally take a Quick Look over your shoulder but you can never tell how many cars are there, this tells you so you can adjust your speed and manoeuvre safely. You can add the Varia app on your phone or it will sync with a Garmin 830 which I have.

Like quality feel of Radar/Camera & audible alerts of vehicles approaching from behind. Still having pairing & set up issues as pdf instructions are vague & assume advanced knowledge of Bluetooth/wifi connectivity.

Garmin una garanzia dispositivo preciso e impeccabile. Utilissimo per chi come me và in bici dà strada. Ho deciso di prenderlo dopo aver subito un incidente e fra le altre cose chi mi ha investito é fuggito senza prestare soccorso.

c'est du GARMIN . la camera , le systeme éclairage, le faite de voiture les voiture arriver sur le Garmin edge .. par contre cela film des sequence 1mn mais en continue , j'ai pas trouvé pour filmer en continue non stop.. il faudrait un feu pour mettre devant avec le meme systeme enfin bravo
