I am not a hairdresser and am rubbish at styling my own hair, bu this product is so simple to use with such lovely results!A really good purchase for the novice hair stylist.

I had never heard of an automatic curler before so I was very intrigued and excited by this product from the moment I saw it. I’m not very good at styling my own hair so I thought I would try this product in the hope it would make my life easier! It arrived in beautiful packaging with a useful heat mat included in the box. I read through the instruction booklet to make sure I used the product correctly and after that it was so straightforward! There are different heat settings and heat up time is super fast. I was slightly anxious about my hair potentially getting caught in the barrel at first but when you press the button, hair is automatically drawn into the barrel and you can’t feel any pulling or resistance at all. I managed to create lovely tight curls which even stayed in until the next morning (although slightly looser). It has an auto-shut off feature after 30 minutes which is great for health and safety. This product definitely makes my life easier and it is my new go to for curling my hair!! Highly recommend to anyone

it didn't curl my hair that well I had to use a few time and don't have the time and I find it a bit to hard for me to hold for that long as I have trouble with me hand they cramps up I sent back because I couldn't use it that well as I couldn't get the curl I wanted but if you know how to work properly I would recommend because ok but I don't think it curled my hair the way I would like

The media could not be loaded.  This gadget is an alternative way to curl your hair, instead of curling your hair around tongs yourself the Revamp Progloss Hollywood Curl does it for you. Benefits of this include “easy tangle free curls”, “intelligent heat control” and “progloss super smooth oils” all for £89.99 (June ‘22) but is it any good? Here’s my thoughts on my experience…It looks great in a high end, quality box it would make an impressive looking gift.There’s a quick start guide that gives you a no nonsense step by step instruction to get started.The power lead is quite long, I’d guess about 10ft.Switch on the curler to get started and set your required heat level, you can choose from 150/170/190 or 210 Celsius. I think the jump from 190 to 210 is too great and would have preferred a 200 setting as most heat protecting sprays work up to 200.It heats up quite fast, you know it’s ready when the light stops flashing. I tried this first with some hair extensions I’ve made a video of this to show you. You hold the hair in the top of the curler with your root at the little dipped bit and the length sat in the long opening (I managed to do this the other way around in the video, oops!). You then press the button to curl, there are two buttons you choose L-left or R-right. When doing hair extensions this was easy but doing my own hair I found I often hit the wrong button and had my curl pointing the wrong way. This was quite frustrating as I’d then try to curl it the way I wanted and it just wasn’t the same. When you press the button the inside of the curler rotates to gather up your hair around the curling tong. It does this for approximately 10 seconds and then beeps which means you can then bring the curler downwards and the curl comes out. When I first tried this on my hair I wasn’t using a mirror and I don’t know how but I got my hair stuck, it wouldn’t let go of my hair and I couldn’t see what was wrong. I unplugged the curler immediately so that I didn’t fry my hair and had to pull my hair out. This gave me a bit of a fright if I’m honest. I then got a mirror and it didn’t happen again, I can only assume I didn’t feed it in correctly so watch out for that.The finished look for me was big loose curls quite “Charlie’s Angels” which I like. I would prefer it if you could lock in the direction of the curl, then there would be only one button to press to curl. I pressed the wrong one quite a few times and had curls going the wrong way.In conclusion…is this better than traditional tongs… no, absolutely not. Tongs are cheaper and much easier to use (but then I’ve been using them for years). I can see this being a good gadget for people who struggle to style their own hair. I think it’s safer than tongs as the heated area is surrounded by plastic and although it gets hot it’s nowhere near as hot to touch as the metal, but for me it won’t replace using tongs. I think it’s a good gadget if you struggle to curl your hair with traditional tongs but there is room for design improvement to win me over.

Use it on day old unwashed hair, bit of mousse, and put hair in sections. The whole head took 20 mins with long thick hair ! The curls held for the whole day and next day ! This is my second one. The previous one my aunt ‘borrowed’ from me after seeing the results.
