Im new to this bait so how would i work it in the water do i reel slowly?

Best bet we've used, are more than a single way. 1 - You can simply pop it on the surface an inch at a time, then let it go under and come back up. Perfect for large Perch/Blue Gill and Crappie, even some bass. Very slowly crank it for it to attract and catch anything that swims..For larger fish such as Blue Gill/Crappie/Bass, put a tiny clamp on split shot weight on it, let it sink one foot first time, then two, then three and etc. and etc. This allows you to find depth they are hitting at. But for creeks/streams, they are fabulous for Small Mouth Bass of ALL sizes period.
