Very detailed instructions and beautiful illustrations. Very nice product and gift for a beginning cook

The illustrations are appetizing, the ingredients are what most people like to eat (no weird ingredients that can't be found at most grocery stores), the recipes are clearly explained. While teaching my daughter how to cook, this book is invaluable! She will be using this book for years to come. The recipes are inspiring and so far all have been tasty!

I have been collecting all the DK Publishing cook books, and I have to say that this is by bar the best series of cook books I own. My wife didn't really learn to cook growing up, and she's making great tasting meals without a lot of time and effort put into making a meal when it's her turn to do dinner.I've found this series of cook books a great source for improving my skills as someone who enjoys cooking as well!

What a wonderful book! These recipes are easy to follow. The result is very delicious and scrumptious! I bought this book for my daughter.

This is a really good cooking book, it has beautyful pictures to show you the end up product, also step by step procedures easy to follow even for the beginners.

Great pictures. Obviously, the standard cuisines are overrepresented.A lot of recipes are actually not that easy (or that tasty). Quite a few call for expensive ingredients. I have only tried a handful of recipes.Pictures and presentation is very nice, instructions and measurements are generally concise and exact.You know how some books could be used as inspiration? This one isn't one of them, at least when it comes to home cooking. Perhaps if you are really into entertaining, it's a worthwhile buy. It also makes for a good present as it is pretty and coulourful.

Love the easy way this book is laid out.
