Vaunn Medical Egg Crate Convoluted Foam Mattress Pad - 3" Thick EggCrate Mattress Topper (Standard Twin Bed 38" x 75" x 3")

This egg crate foam has been a life saver for me. I have a posturepedic memory foam mattress which I like most of the time. However, right now I have two pelvic fractures and the last thing I need is to sink down into the memory foam because I can't reposition myself. However I land on the mattress, that's pretty much where I have to stay because it sort of builds and nest around me, I sink in and I can't get out. As if moving wasn't painful enough, the last thing I need is to have to fight the mattress!Enter this egg crate foam pad and--perfect! I don't sink into the mattress, I have enough support that I can reposition myself higher or lower in the bed as needed. Additionally, it's very comfortable, just the right balance between soft and firm. The only problem I'm having is that my fitted sheet is now too short for the new thickness of the mattress and keeps coming undone. Easily solved, though, I just ordered a larger contour sheet.I'm so glad my physical therapist suggested this idea, because I didn't even know these things existed. (I ordered the twin size and it's only on my side of the king-sized bed. There is a slight height difference in the middle but it's no big deal.

We're using it for a mattress pad for a small bench, so it's fine for that; however, it's not 3" thick all the way around, only at 1 end. We waited for it to "relax" and come to full size and thickness, and it still isn't quite 3" thick. Also, it's not 75" long. After it "relaxed" it was about 70". We really needed 6', so we pulled it and stretched it, and it's almost. It's probably fine, but if you are picky about it being the exact size, then get a bigger one and cut it down.

After a few months of use this does seem to be helping soften just the top layer of a firm mattress to increase my comfort sleeping.The pads are not cut exact and the two on my king size bed are a bit different in size. This doesn’t affect comfort. It is sloppy production. I’ve trimmed to try to tidy the look for appearance.

I've had a number of mattress toppers and this one has been the best so far. I prefer the egg-crate type over memory foam, as the memory stuff makes me too hot and wads up under me when I turn over. This one provides the support and softness I want. I placed it under the zippered mattress cover I already had to insure it would stay in place, but it should stay put directly on top of a mattress. It fluffed up right away as soon as I removed it from the compressed packaging. It does have an odd smell, but that faded pretty quickly. I'm satisfied and am pleased at the price. I have paid more for less. This is a good product.

I got this for a planned surgery back in December. The last time I spent more than 3 days in a hospital bed, my back, which normally doesn't cause me problems, was shot. I dreaded my next surgery and multiple days in that bed. This foam saved the day! No back issues, easy to get up and out of bed due to the additional support. If you are going into surgery and need to stay in the hospital more than a few days, get this! Or one like it, but don't hesitate. I don't think most people think to bring one and most hospitals don't supply them upon request. Serious back saver.

I love this product. Although I have only used it for several nights, it seems to be helping with my back and hip pain which would wake me up at night. The instructions for letting it settle for 48 hours before use to let it raise to 3 inches was very helpful. There was no odor. My only complaint, if that is what you want to call it, was that it claims that it is manufactured in the USA, but the insert said, made in China. I am confused as to where it is actually made, but having said that, I would buy it from where ever it came from!

Got this for my 11-yo daughter at summer camp. It was way too big for her bed though, and we had to cut it down to fit the twin mattress. We flipped it over so it was flat-side up - I think she liked it as it made her bed cozier, but we will try to find something else next summer - she didn't like it enough to bring home and gifted it to the next camper.

Very comfortable and works well. Only problem is that it is a little shorter than is listed. Leaves about twelve to fifteen inches exposed at the foot of the bed.
