Fits older model Kenmore Freezers
If you are unsure of your Kenmore model # due to its age, this may fit. We couldn't find our key so we took a gamble on a 30 year old freezer and the key works!!!!!!

Does not fit model WZC5216LW
I bought a freezer, model WZC5216LW. I tried to order a second key because things tend to get lost in my house. Whirlpool charges $82 for this. I tried this one since it looks the same, but sadly it does not fit my model freezer. If you have the same model as me, do not buy and keep looking.

the key did not fit the freezer lock
when I tried the key it didn't work in the freezer lock, the return window was closed when I found it wouldn't fit so Amazon would not take it back

A must buy
This thing is a must buy, and honestly I'm kind of annoyed that this isn't what my deep freeze came with in the first place. The plastic versions of these are brittle and mine broke out of nowhere, but this metal one feels indestructible. If you've got one of the compatible deep freezes or other appliances that came with a plastic version, I strongly suggest you upgrade to this instead.
