Very Sturdy & Good Purchase Overall
Surprisingly sturdy cage for the money, my Cockatoo (strong beak) cannot bend the bars 😃👍 it’s large and well designed. Sets up easily and 2 birds can be quite comfortable with multiple perches & toys. Assembly video definitely helps, as there are NO INSTRUCTIONS. Squeezing the roof-top wire cage part was tricky, had to loosen a few bolts to squeeze it together. Use a cordless drill to assemble, with the flexible shaft attachment, the Allen wrench will take FOREVER thank me later 😬 I don’t use the Seed Catcher metal base attachment so it’s not in the video, in case you noticed…

Multi purpose cage
Sometimes I need to confine cats for their own good whether due to medical issues or personality problems. This cage was purchased to confine a shy and frightened cat. There are a few negatives that other reviewers have already noted. The directions for assembly left me scratching my head. Took me 4 hours to assemble working alone. Some metal pieces had very minor damage from shipping which I easily rectified. Damage likely resulted from use of bubble wrap rather than styrofoam for protection. Also I damaged some screws in assembly and appealed to the merchant for replacement. Hopefully he will be amenable. Now for the positives. This cage is huge. The finish is first rate and the metals used are totally adequate for the intended use. It should hold up well to cats as well as parrots. I think the cage offers good value. Before I ordered it I asked the merchant what he would do in the event of shipping damage. He replied that he would replace damaged parts if the customer sent a picture showing the damage. So if the only thing preventing you from ordering is fear of shipping damage, I suggest just go for it.

Great cage, poor process.
Let me preface this review with this: The cage is great, once it is assembled. My review is more about the process than the product. 1. Amazon only provides one tracking number. The cage is shipped in 3 boxes, each having its own tracking number. I needed to provide additional shipping instructions, since my street was going to be closed for maintenance and FedEx would not have had access to the house. So I wanted the shipment held at the facility so I could pick it up. They only held one box, and the other two were delayed. 2. The instructions to assemble the cage are dismal at best. One page, all pictures, which are hard to read and decipher. There is an accompanying video on YouTube with no sound. Play it and pause as necessary while you figure it out and follow along. 3. The cage arrived damaged. One of the latches to the main door was broken, but to the seller's credit, I notified them at 8 PM and when I woke up at 4 AM I already had a response with a tracking number for a new latch. One of the hinges on the small upper doors is broken. It's welded and not repairable by the buyer without replacing an entire panel. I wasn't going to mess with waiting for that, and don't plan on using that door anyway so I zip tied it shut. They also provided 2 rubber plugs, called "pipe plugs" in the instructions, but never mentioned in the assembly instructions and you're given no clue what they're for. 4. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to assemble the cage by myself. Having help would make it a little easier. Installing the top panels is the hardest, most infuriating part. Leave several of the screws loose until you're finished than go back and tighten everything. 5. I wish they would have made bowl holders larger. Many parrot owners use heavy crockery bowls because parrots love to pull the bowls out and dump them. These lightweight stainless steel bowls that are provide will most certainly end up on the floor. 6. In the video, they put the wheels on last. I would suggest putting them on first, before you assemble the cage. This thing is a beast once it's assembled and lifting it high enough with one hand while trying to screw the wheels in is difficult. I propped it up on a paint can so I had 2 hands. 7. The cheap Chinese Allen wrench they provide to tighten the screws rounded off before I was halfway done. Throw it away and use a real tool. 8. Overall, I'm happy with the cage and the customer service.

Cage door don’t close and locks don’t line up
The door locks did not line up so I can’t use one side of my cage and the screws that hold the top doors closed any bird will have them screws out within seconds and get escape you can twist them with your finger! The bottom Trey is bent pretty bad and the center divider is very flimsy but otherwise it’s a spacious cage I’ve bought several smaller cages made with the same metal and paint and just a heads up they rust really bad really fast! I had no clue this cage was made with the same metal as the little cages was before I bought it or I wouldn’t have but either way if I can get the door fixed or replaced so it’s functional I will keep the cage cause I need it for my macaws for now

Look no further, this is the one
This is the perfect cage for my DYH parrot. All three boxes arrived at the same time, sooner than expected. I studied other cages for quite a while, trying to make up my mind. I wanted the most room, at a price my husband wouldn't be too mad about. It's beautiful, huge, and the bird loves it. The bottom trays had a couple of bent places on delivery but were easy to straighten. The rest of the cage is very sturdy and strong. The bottom trays are made of sheet metal, which is fine because no weight is placed on them. They slide on the tracks under the cage (like a drawer). We did watch a you tube video of a man putting the cage together, step by step. We had all the parts separated according to the provided instructions, then got stumped about where to start. I am not afraid to ask for directions! I was able to assemble most of it by myself, but my husband had to help with the roof part. (I'm short, and I had not read another review about holding one side in place with zip ties while aligning the other side.) It fits together like a puzzle, but once you get it together and tightened, there's no worry about it coming apart! All the doors and latches line up and open/close properly. I am not using the divider panel because I just wanted a big cage, not two separate ones. The measurements given are exact, the seed skirt was easy to assemble and install, and it looks great. There was extra hardware included. It rolls easily if needed. There are two wheels with locks to keep it from rolling accidentally. It came with two 32-inch perches that I put at the food/water stations, so the bird has been doing a lot of climbing and sliding to get from one side of the cage to the other. I put rope perches in for him, but he wouldn't use them, so I made a hickory perch (that he does use) until I can cut some birch or poplar closet rods to size. This is for a 30-year-old DYH Amazon that was in the same smaller cage his entire life. He would sit on his swing all day, not play with any toys and had started screaming a lot. Since he moved into this cage, he has started talking and playing again, and not having screaming fits. This purchase is one of the best I've ever made.

Faulty button latches…if they fix that issue, it gets 5 stars.
The cage is a little hard to put together for one person, however it’s doable. I advise leaving all of the bolts loose until you have the top pieces installed. The button latches for the large front doors will pop and come open/unlock by themselves, which could be detrimental to your pets health as well as to the condition of your home if the latch comes open while you’re not home. (This is the only reason I’m giving the cage 3 stars as opposed to 5.) I have alleviated the problem with chains and clasps as to not have to go through the return process, but please be very aware of this issue before you order so that there are no surprises. Otherwise, this is a well built cage (compare to heavy duty, large dog pen panels) and has proven to be a great option for our squirrel monkeys. (No, the monkeys didn’t pop the buttons. It has happened numerous times when they weren’t present.) Anyhow, aside from the faulty front locks, I do highly recommend the cage.

Fantastic Macaw Cage
This is THE BEST cage I’ve purchased for my military macaw. It is SOooo roomy, especially for the price. It is super sturdy and very smooth for rolling. The latches were not working when it arrived but the company sent new ones immediately, without question! Great service!! It took me and my husband to put it together bc it is so big…but that’s exactly why I wanted it..not for the divider portion. I wanted my bird to have plenty of room to play during the winter when he has to stay inside. Be sure to build it in the room you will have it in because it won’t fit through standard doorways…Make sure the gauge is tough enough if you have aggressive chewers. Mine isn’t…he’s just a climber and wood chipper lol….but it’s still a good gauge.

Cage Would have been perfect had people packed and treated more gently
Package was pretty bent up and some screw holes did not go thru it has some damaged areas but we were so desperate for a new cage ! There old one the floor had rusty holes in that they could be cut with and I was having to use a cookie sheet on bottom to make it safe for them meanwhile I was getting cut changing paper! We were so glad to find an on line vidio derections for putting it together , one of bottom pieces was pretty bent up we had to bend it back it will never look new! But as I said we were desperate for them to be in a safer cage! I think whom ever is putting them in planes or trucks is way to rough no excuse for boxes to be torn right thru and dented hard enough to bend metal! It could be a little different to put together 2 or 3 people help with creative minds to ! Other Wise I am Impressed with Quality and how well built easy to clean seed guard a little difficult to get in. Love the way it looks Thee dent in bottom of tray makes it difficult to get in and out Other side has no dent and is easy so I know it was the damage that caused it to be harder If you could keep rough people from damaging it. This cage is perfect and I love it so safe and easy to use looks beautful sense dents are on bottom I can’t see them they just make one side harder to pull out! I love the cage and so do African Greys! Xxoo
