We used these to bake a cake in the shape of a diamond ring. My daughter had gotten engaged and when they returned home we had them a surprise cake. It looked great and these were easy to clean. We only used these to shape the diamond. The ring part we shaped it using a different process. These do run small so I would suggest ordering at least 2 or 3 sets. Make sure you lock them correctly and they will not leak. They worked perfectly for us. We thought they might leak or stick, (we did not oil or treat prior to baking) but they did neither. The cake came out nice, easy, and without breaking apart. I would recommend this product, but again order at least 2 or 3 of these.

OH MY I LOVE THESE!!!!!! I wish they were around when my kids were little and we were always having cupcake parties :) I have only used them twice but I know I will use them a lot more :) They are fun to play around with and make strange cake shapes. I bought 2 packs because I love to make strange, unique, and one of a kind things and this lets me do whatever I want to cakes, pancakes, eggs, and biscuits. I know you will enjoy them too even if you bake only once in a while and only circle items. It is so easy to use and remove. I always made what my kids called "Fault Cakes" They looked like we had just had a really bad earthquake!!! LOL But I may lose that title with Cake Shapers!!!! Get a set and have fun :) :) :)

Little flimsy but work ok

I made a triangle cake for a Zelda Birthday party. it worked okish. I thought they had magnets that held in place it doesnt. I had limited seeping but I was using a nut based batter so it wouldnt seep as muc. I did have to trim the sides because the sides bowed with the weight of the batter. it could have been worse

I wish I would have gotten these a lot sooner. I don't know if they were available, though. These are very easy to use, clean and store. They make shaping cakes super easy. Since you bake it in the correct shape, instead of cutting it, the frosting goes one easier, without crumbling, and there's no wasted pieces (of course my kids will be upset about that part, because they've always been able to eat the parts that I cut off). You can't make super intricate shapes with lots of corners. I bought two sets and that is just right for me. One set would limit the sizes and shapes of cakes you can make.

This thing is sooo giftable. It gifts like nobodys business. I giftec my wife so hard with this, all she could say is thank you. If theres a baker in your life that makes funny looking cakes and such and they dont have any of these...you know the deal, gift em a box or two of these and likely you'll get a big ol thank you. Warning: if its a close loved one i would use this as an add on gift or a "just to be nice" gift. If this is all your wife gets for Christmas, you may not get the aforementioned thank you but instead a profanity laced remark about how she went overboard and got you race tickets and a pocket knife and you got her a hand full of runner planks

This is no good. Very disappointing.My cake seeped thru the cake shape.I had made a heart that was sharp at the end and skinny at the top but once I poured the batter in the cake shaper it made my heart fat. This was no good.

This was extremely easy to use and worked great. Long story short I needed an oval shaped cake and made a Pickle Rick theme cake and it was so helpful. I sprayed it down heavily with Pam to make sure nothing stuck when taking them off and not even a little bit did. Would recommend especially for the price.

It made for a unique wedding shower gift for a friend

I needed to make a cake with a unique shape and I thought this would be the answer. After reading the reviews, and with the majority liking this product, I went ahead and gave it a try.My first impression after opening the packages (I bought two), was that they were flimsier than I had imagined. I found making the shape that I wanted to be more of a challenge. The sides kept shifting and moving as I was setting it up. What this needs is a few weights, to keep the long walls runs from moving. I had the basic shape I wanted, I just couldn't keep them straight enough to be usable. Perhaps even a couple long sections and some half-sized sections would be very handy.In the end I just gave up and found it easier to just bake a rectangle and cut the shape out with a sharp knife. Maybe I just don't know how to use this yet.These do, however, work very well, for making simple shapes, like square, circle and triangles, but larger curved shapes need more rigidity from what I noticed.I will keep looking for a better product, if one comes to market.Also, on the downside, one of the pieces had a tear in it, as shown in the attached photo.I will keep these for small cakes and things, but I will use the good old-fashioned methods for making complicated shapes that I like to make.EDIT March 26th, 2020:I have found a way to help keep odd shapes. Using square [B0196IF7ZE] and/or round [B07ZZ494XB] ceramic ramekins, they can be places on the outsides of of the mold-shapers to shore up long runs and tight shapes. I shall give this a try next time once the ones I've ordered arrive.
