It's Plastic, but that's Fine
The plate and cap bin are plastic and the bottle opener is metal. It seems plenty sturdy to do the job. It mounts securely although I do wish the cap bin was a bit more secure. It looks nice mounted and ties in well with the rest of my deck construction materials.

Metal opener, plastic back plate
The opener is a strong metal but the back plate is plastic. Still works well though and looks great.

Opener is metal...rest is plastic
Not sure if i misssed it somewhere but was expecting all metal...its not...metal opener is on the wall...works fine...rest is in the trash.

Do not buy!!! It’s plastic
This is not what I expected from Simpson. All of their steel products are awesome. This thing sucks. It’s plastic. If they made the same thing out of the steel they use for the rest of their stuff I would be happy to pay more.I won’t even be mounting this piece of crap. I will make my own.
