This was great. I have a giant guava tree in a pot that can't handle winter, but only gives me fruit in the summer if it's outside. That giant tree & it's giant pot is 150+ lbs & difficult as heck to get a grip on. I tried drilling in holes & making my own rope grips, but they were un comfortable & broke down after 1 summer. Gave these a try after my GF was pissed about moving the tree inside for the winter. It worked fantastically, being able to comfortably hold it with both hands on each side made it a breeze. I didnt even break a sweat moving her in 80 degree weather. Thank you for whoever thought of this, I thought I was one & with tropical fruit trees, but now a lemon tree & soursop tree don't sound so bad.

Moving large ceramic planters and root balls used to be a back-breaking task, but these lifting straps made it ridiculously easy. The straps wrap securely around pots of different sizes without slipping, and having proper handles lets two people lift heavy loads without straining or stooping. It's sturdy, compact to store, and a must-have tool for anyone doing serious yard work or container gardening.

It works, a little tricky to get it un/re-snapped. With this year’s cold in SW Florida we had to move our desert rose inside a few times.

I have, among a number of plants, a very large pot with wild/Mexican petunias that I have successfully weathered over in the house and/or garage for several winters. I was motivated to try to preserve it, although it would be considered an annual in the climate where I live, because you never know what plants will be offered seasonally each spring. Because this pot of wild petunias has done so well, it is rather heavy. I had carried it back and forth each season on my own, and sometimes with help, but it was a difficult and tedious task. I had seen the PotLifter a year or so ago in a gardening catalog and thought it would be helpful when moving my large potted plants from the deck to the garage in winter & back to the deck in the spring. Unfortunately, I failed to order it in time to move my plants inside last fall and still hadn't ordered it by the time it was time to move my plants back outside. I was kicking myself for this each time I had to move the plants. Recently, I needed to temporarily relocate the heavy potted plants on my deck, and THIS time, I ordered the PotLifter. It is designed to be used by two people, but it is easy to use, and makes moving large, bulky, heavy pots SO much easier! I had looked at a couple of different types of potted plant moving implements, and I ultimately chose this one because it can be used easily (with a lifting partner) whether moving plants across level terrain or navigating stairs or uneven surfaces such as a slope. There are dolly type plant moving tools too, but the disadvantage I saw with that type, for me, was the potential difficulty of navigating stairs with it. Also, due to the materials involved in manufacturing the dolly type plant movers, they cost approximately twice as much as the PotLifter and would require more space to store. The PotLifter has straps that are adjustable to accommodate a variety of pot sizes, as well as to accommodate different heights of those lifting the pots. The handles are textured with ridges and a good size to allow a firm comfortable grip without cutting into the hand. The PotLifter comes with a nylon storage bag to keep it clean and together between uses, so it shouldn't end up in a tangled mess of spider webs and debris in the dark recesses of the garage, shed, or basement between uses. I've been really pleased with my PotLifter so far, and I'm glad I finally quit procrastinating and just bought it. I expect it to last and continue to be useful for MANY years. EDITED TO ADD: The pots I moved were tapered and wider at the top than the base, textured, and/or had a "lip" at the top of the pot. I think the PotLifter would probably offer the most stability in holding the pot securely when there is a lip at the top of the pots being moved for the straps to "grab."

We were hopeful this would help us move a very large pot with a tree inside and when we hooked it up it was surprisingly easy. What a great tool. Well made, instructions were clear. We’re going to like having this with our gardening supplies.

I am not the super 'swolle' dude I was in my 20's or 30's, I cant throw a couch over my head on moving day any longer, nor can I and my wife alone move some of our unreasonably heavy pots (Olive Trees, Pineapple Guava, Plumeria etc....) if it's a $500 pot and a 350lb plant my wife wants it....I thought I could move it all given my history as a power lifter, but as I turned 45 and COVID ate my soul, I found that nope, I could not do it, and a wheelbarrow was not the key......in comes the PotLifter....holy cow this thing is legit. we moved with ease the heaviest damn concrete planters with effing trees in them with minimal effort. Do I recommend this product...eff yeah. I am giving these now for Christmas to anyone who has potted plants.

Despite the cheesy ad, the product itself is solid. Moved an ~80 kg pot with no problem and would've been a pain in the rear end otherwise.

Excellent Pot and Pumpkin Lifter. Worked very well moving heavy patio plants in their large pots, also a 39kg pumpkin!
