Will it smooth out ruff edges

I haven't used it on any rough edges. I do have one pair that I have not polished yet. I doubt that it will work that great on those.

This device offers enough power?

Power is enough for shoe brushing. Too much power will produce huge friction and heat, which may damage the leather surface.

Will it remove the mud off the shoes?

This is a very low speed device. I do not recommend it for removing mud.

Is it soft/gentle enough to be used on a person?
