Folds compactly to store easily. Sturdily made.
Just the right size when folded up to store easily in your kit and when assembled the spade is a good size to dig a tire out of the sand. It very sturdy when the knob is tightened.

Not as simple to adjust as you would think!
This little trench shovel can be a real pain to adjust, fold up, switch to just the pick, etc. Also, the plastic sleeve which tightens to secure the pieces in place can often get stuck and become very difficult to loosen again. It's simply a clumsy design.
