Tribute Collection Laverne Cox Doll, Collectible Doll Wearing Layered Look with Glittery Bodysuit and Tulle Gown, Gift for Collectors

As an “outside the box collector”, I’m not usually a sucker for packaging, but this line is an exception. I absolutely adore the shoeboxes they come in with the illustration of the doll on the front! Everything about it is beautiful; from the outside of the box, to the tissue paper flaps over the doll upon opening, to the pop of color background behind the doll. Beautiful! Really wish Mattel would bring back this kind of packaging for other, current lines too! It would be beautiful for the new Basics line. I’m just as happy with the doll as I am her packaging! I’m generally not a fan of this face sculpt, but she is absolutely stunning! The clothes are high quality, although hideous. Arrived in perfect condition and on time. If you’re on the fence, just get her already!

The doll is beautiful!!! The mail was very impressively packed and the box is perfect! I have never been more impressed by packaging in the mail from Amazon. I have four other Barbie Rewind 80e Editions Dolls and this is the last I wanted for my collection...she is fabulous!!!

First off, Finally a made to move bodied male with actual hair. I don't think anyone likes the molded plastic hair on the male dolls and we have waited so long for a MTM male body. He is a lot of fun to pose and the body looks good. The packaging was well done, nice drawing on box, easy to remove him without tearing up the box and no dreaded plastic holders drilled through his head to hold it to the box. The only negative I could find was that when I removed his hoody it had shed some red fuzz on him, not really a big deal. Overall, great job on this one!!! He deserves these 5 stars. O.k. bought the braids BMR and adding to this review. Her face has nice details, mole, eyes, baby hairs, that you usually see in an artist repaint for adult collectors. I like this face very much. Her hair is outstanding, braids full and as long as her Amazon pictures. I added a pic of the Fashionistas #123 so you can see how they play off each other. 3Rd addition to this review is the green haired male. Hardest to de box for me and has a plastic protector undershirt also, which makes him a bit hard to pose those arms unless you were undress him further. His skin tone is darker than the Ken Fashoinistas #138, shown with him in picture #6, for head swappers info. I like all the details on him and his MTM body.

BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE this! From the outfit to the accessories and the figure quality is on point! I'd just wished that Mattel would sell more of this body type in different skin shades more often and not just for specialty dolls! I will get more for my siblings to have! She is nice, not the quality of the older collector Barbies you could have gotten for the same price, but nice. The big difference I see with all the newer collector Barbies is plastic accessories. Her earrings and head piece are plastic, if this would have been made a decade ago, it would have been metal or at least painted to look like metal. Her face is printed very nice, I don't see any pixelation like you do on some of the other cheaper ones. Her dress is nice, it does have embroidery, instead of just print on the fabric which makes it feel more expensive. One of my pet peeves is hems on doll clothing, instead of full finished edges they will loop stitch the hems. This is no exception.. the upper collar of the dress is finished like it should be, but the lower part of the dress is finished with just loop stitching, which makes the dress look cheaper. I notice these things, because I collect vintage Barbies from the 60's to the 70's, which is funny, because their play line clothing was made with higher quality and detail than the new collector series Barbies. Overall though, for a new collector series, she is pretty nice. She is printed really nice, her hair is very well done and her outfit is good enough compared to other collector editions.

Pero a pesar de eso tiene algunos defectos remarcables: los cintillos que usaron para mantener la ropa unida dejaron pequeños agujeros en la tela de ambas prendas, además de eso, uno de ellos le dejó una pequeña marca en el abdomen; es bastante difícil de sacar de la caja sin dañar un poco el cartón; y por último, una de las articulaciones de ambos codos es un poco difícil de doblar. A pesar de eso, sinceramente no me arrepentimiento de mi compra :) ¡Es una muñeca hermosa!

Cuando te dicen Barbie Black Label, uno espera como mínimo esto: un producto cuidado, bien pensado, de calidad. Diseñado para coleccionistas. La caja, ya de entrada, es un glorioso homenaje retro a la cinta VHS: se abre como las cintas, y tiene, por un lado, la muñeca, y por el otro, la caja con forma de casette VHS. Detalle perfecto. Y encima luego te das cuenta de que, en esta colección Rewind, los stands que traen las muñecas para sujetarlas, tienen como base también una cinta pero de música. Es un stand de los que la sujetan por la cintura, además. El stand de esta muñeca es rosa. Esta Barbie viene en pijama :-D No trae zapatos, pero lleva unos calcetines muy chulos. Los pendientes se le pueden quitar. Entre los complementos que trae, viene una barra de labios que se abre y cierra, una cajita de sombra de ojos (también cierra) y un termo con tapa. Me ha costado lo que no está escrito sacarlos del blister y no perder ninguna pieza. El cepillo es el de toda la vida de Barbie (está el mundo lleno de estos cepillos, mordidos). Un teléfono que se puede descolgar y una tele de las gordas. Todo retro, todo de moda, todo rosa (superstar). Oh, lleva un anillo en una mano, también. Christie viene con la cabeza de superstar, pero el cuerpo no es de los 80. Es de 2015. Han hecho una mezcla entre las dimensiones actuales de las muñecas Barbie, con cierta articulación, menos pecho y sin caderas tan abruptas como las ochenteras, y luego lleva las rodillas de clic. La muñeca es muy bonita, pero la verdad es que me habría gustado que viniera con las dimensiones antiguas. Porque pretendía usarla como modelo de ropa ochentera (le queda grande a las Barbies nuevas, en general). El pelo va en bucles grandes con algo de producto. ¡Bienvenida, Christie!

Beautiful Barbie. Comes with a range of 90s-themed accessories which I love as I am a 90s baby! 😅
