Work far better than aftermarket chargers.
Bought to replace a non functioning charger that was new from Canon. These do a much better job of charging than third party chargers.

It's 2024 and I still have/use this one
I bought this in 2014 per my amazon purchase history. It's great, still works, I don't use my camera as often, I probably use this 8-10 times a year lately...but prior to 2020 I was using it countless of times.

Use Canon batteries
Canon batteries are far better than knock offs. I have a fellow professional photographer who tried to save a few bucks on off brand batteries and it damaged his camera body and cost a good bit for Canon to make the repairs. The chargers are made for the Canon batteries and assure they are well maintained.Only reason I am replacing a charger is I forgot I had one in a pants pocket when I ran the pants through the laundry. That killed it. But, happy to get the new one. I keep 4 chargers so I can do two cameras worth of batteries at once.

Purchased as replacement!
Purchased this charger as a replacement for the other one I "thought" I had lost. Difference between this one and the other charger is that this has the adapter built-in while the other has a plug to use with an additional wire. I think that would be the only downside of this specific one is that it has to be plugged in directly into the hub or the wall. The one that came with my Mark III has an added convenience of plugging in the wire and laying this one perhaps on top of the desk, counter, or even on the floor. Could be different when sent from another supplier but I believe the newer models made by Canon are made this way, which is unfortunately the only downside to it.Besides that, great build, hasn't failed me yet whether it be my old one or this one. Great.
