Works well - cut soft aluminum with ease
The first unit I got was bad and after speaking with customer service I got a replacement unit. This unit works well and fit correctly into that CNC. You can cut wood and even metal (do it slowly). It comes with some carving bits to get you started.

Poor packaging No bits
This thing is poorly packaged, clamp is all banged up and it did not come with the 10pc engraving bits. Also the clamp is way too loose, it just slides right off the spindle. There's no instructions, they should at least mark the positive and negative connections. The power supply was just wrapped in seran wrap. The spindle chuck sticks out too far and doesn't want to budge, it should be pushed in further for better performance. I don't know how anyone is supposed to change the chuck. The chuck needs to be seated further into the shaft, but I don't want to hammer it in. It's a loud spindle for 800w. Louder than my 1200w plunge router. It has small connectors on the spindle. We'll see how it performs.

Good Unit, runs a little warm
I bought this spindle motor to use as a tool post spindle on my lathe. The unit performs well and the runout is minimal. My only concern ( and the reason I'm not giving it 5 stars) is that the unit gets pretty hot when running. I'm concerned that over time, this could cause issues. The motor control unis works pretty well, i haven't experienced any issues with it yet. I think for a small cnc machine, thin could make a decent spindle

Works great!!!
This spindle has worked great for me so far!!! I wanted to get a higher max spindle speed for some projects and this does the trick. As others have described, it does get warm when running on full, but the video I attached depicts it running after 4 hours at 18000 RPMs. No problems so far. The desciption does say that it maxes out at 20000 RPMs, but even when maxing out the power supply I only get around 18000. It is a bit noisy compared to my old spindle, but it is running a lot faster, and I don't have anything else to compare it to. The power supply is pretty cheap, but it performs well. I do wish it had a voltage display like others I have seen, though. All in all, it is a pretty good value for the price.

Went Extremely Hot and didn't sound good!!!
Not sure what happened, it got very hot and the sound wasn't good either. Looks like a waste...

Great product
Instructions are not very clear, you have to supply your own power cord/wires, and the potentiometer not mounted to anything is not the best but definitely a great product for the price. It's not plug and play but when hooked up correctly it works much better then expected.

Doesn't work as advertised.
It does not work properly. It comes with a potentiometer that does nothing at all. I turn it all the way down and start it motor starts up when I turn the potentiometer all the way up no change in motor speed the motor only runs at one speed . And there's no paperwork of any kind to help. Poor quality.

It is cheap for a reason.
Makes a lot of noise, gets extremely hot even on short jobs (Less than an hour). Pictures and item do not match completely. It works great, much more power than a 500w. O, and the fan feature simply does not cool the thing down. Best to put a normal room fan on it while in operation.
