Arc'teryx Arakys Approach Shoe Men's | Ultralight Approach Shoe

I stay away from writing reviews for the most part but these sweet babies deserve it. These are THE MOST comfortable shoes in which my feet have ever resided. By design the toes arent pointed up and the foot lays flat as nature intended. The insole...mama Mia! It is like having shoes made from cherubic angels on my feet. Would I wear them in combat? No, as the little latch slips out sometimes. You can modify the latch with pliers to make them grab a bit better. These are the best for comfortable around the house, driving, exercise machines like bike, elliptical and rowing as well as weights and low intensity work place environments. MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES EVER! EVER!!!!

Pretty comfortable but they do not stay tight, need to re-fasten at least a few times per day.

Besides being very stylish and looking very elegant, those shoes are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes that I own. They fir like a glove and did not need any break in at all. Archteryx is my new favorite for all things outdoors….

The picture shows the latest Akarys generation, with a permanently attached strap clip. The shoes I received are of the earlier generation, with a detachable strap clip, which many reviewers point out tends to detach on its own.

Comfortable and light, great for warm weather. My favorite part is that they are laceless - there is a strap that can be tightened, and holds with just a hook (like on Arcteryx pants).

These shoes look cool, and they're interesting. I like the way the front of the shoe is designed too. I feel it would hold up to a ton of kicked rocks on a hiking trail. I'm sure they'd be great for someone. However, the latch falls off multiple times a day. I noticed another reviewer complained about the same thing. It's a bit better when you tighten the straps (starting from near the toes, as Arcteryx suggested), but when tighter, my right foot, which is a little bigger, eventually feels searing pain over the course of a day. This problem is something you'll probably not notice until you use them for a day or two. This won't be considered a defect by Arcteryx, so, you'll likely be stuck paying a 50% restocking fee if you try to return them. Because of how expensive Arcteryx shoes are, I recommend against taking the risk unless you can afford to lose money.

The most fashionable approach shoe, but also the most impracticable. Dead Bird failed this time... You'll look super cool on the way to the crag but once you actually start the approach you'll get no help from these beauties. The toe box is closer to a Vans skate shoe then any kind of approach shoe. Absolutely no control is transmitted from your foot to the out-sole. Try to scramble down a slab or edge during a 4th class downclimb and you'll be very bummed. The flat webbing lace system is nice but adds nothing to functionality. The only pro? Super light weight... but I'd rather carry my heavier Gecko's then do any friction descent in these shoes. I now only wear these as a street shoe. Sad but they do look cool...

I love anything Arcteryx. Best of the best. These shoes met every expectation. Buy a size bigger than typical American shoes. I am normally a 9 but needed a 10 in these. Worth every penny!

少し小さいと感じた。

初めて足を入れると小さい感じがしたが、靴が馴染んできて、違和感が無くなってきました。中敷きの先端が貼り付けてあり、取り外しが出来ず、洗いずらそうと交換がしずらい。

もの自体は満足できる。1サイズ大きめを購入したが、予想よりも小さかった。
