So I bought this not for the toilet but of the stairway to the basement. It is definitely made of cheap plastic and with a house with boys there is no way I would put this on the toilet...EwwwBut I have a stairway with no light to see til I get to the bottom and hit the light switch. I have tied it up to a pushpin and it catches movement at both ends of stairs and lights up the area just enough.

I don't like to give bad reviews but this product is not up to the part. First the good:It is a great cute idea.Easy to install and work.Looks great when illuminates.Has a motion sensor.The not so good:The sensor does not work all the time. You have to test "where" in the toilet works as it is not always in the obvious places.The batteries were exhausted very fast. I'm not sure if it was the batteries or the product but it stopped working in less than one day. Note; batteries were brand new and brand name. (Energizer)Expect the part that goes in the toilet to get dirty. You will have to pick it up and clean it, remember is a toilet!In short, I can not recommend this item. Nice idea but it needs a lot of tweaking to make it more efficient and worth the time and money.

My husband received this as a gift from my daughter. We really liked it but it stopped working within 3 weeks. Replaced battery and it still didn’t work. Very disappointed. But I bought another one for a “white elephant” gift exchange at Christmas so I don’t know if it is working or not. But everyone got a kick out of it and wanted one. Great idea. Too bad it didn’t work very long!

This is honestly a great idea. When you wake up in the middle of the night and have to turn the light on, it does disturb your ability to go back to bed. The motion sensor lights up in the middle of the night with a glow of a light, stays on until the motion has stopped. The glow light allows you to find your way back to bed and it shuts off by itself. It is a win win. You can either pick one single color you like to keep it on or allow it to keep changes while its activated. I love the alternating colors.

We gave these as “gag”gifts for a game of Dirty Santa. We ended up loving them so much and have actually utilized. Who doesn’t want an illuminated “throne”. The unit is non descript. It mounts flush to the toilet and the sensor is not so sensitive that it illuminates as soon as you are in the vicinity. Ours toilet is in a water closet. Upon entering and nearing the toilet, the sensor picks up. The colors really radiate against the bowl and this concept truly is helpful for the night time trip!

I bought this January 2018. It worked great for a while. Now, June 2020, it no longer holds a charge. I took good care of it too. Trashing another one.

This works as described, you just have to place it in the right place to catch your movement. I wish the "hook" was longer, when my husband lifts the seat it sometimes falls off onto.the floor. The rim of my bowl is very wide.

This is a very cute item, but it does not function properly. There is a design flaw. The battery terminal and the and the battery holder do not touch. The circuit is not complete. I bought four of these item and they all had the same problem. I completed the circuit by filling the the area with aluminum foil, now they all work. I would not recommend buying these items until the problem is resolved. It is clear that quality control was non existent. There are so many reviews that complained complained about the non functionality of the units.
