Flever Dollhouse Miniature DIY House Kit Creative Room with Furniture and Cover for Romantic Valentine's Gift(Old Times Including 3 PCS)

This is an extremely adorable miniature. I actually had already ordered it from a Chinese vendor, but was too impatient to wait for it to arrive, so I ordered this Flever one because this Amazon vendor offered Same Day shipping for Prime Members. Other than the fact that it is amazingly tiny, my only real difficulty is that this particular one does NOT come with the 3 required watch batteries, nor do the instruction tell you what sort of batteries you need. After asking around, I believe they use LR44 batteries. This is a Cuteroom kit, labeled as such on the box. I don't understand what they mean about not being allowed to ship batteries, because clearly different versions of these kits do include them. Since I don't want to wire this up until I can test to make sure the lights work, I won't be able to finish it until the batteries arrive. I'll update this review if the batteries turn out to be wrong. By the way, I've been advised that batteries must be placed in the correct orientation. Otherwise, they become very hot and the lights won't work. Looks as if they need to be placed upside down, but be sure to take care with this. On the plus side, my kit arrived the same day I ordered it, and the box is in pristine condition. The instruction manual is full color, with English instructions translated by someone who doesn't understand English very well, but very nicely done and easy to follow the color photos. This is my first of these sorts of kits, and I did feel a bit overwhelmed at first. I think after this, going to a 1:24 scale DIY dollhouse will seem much easier. To put this together, you'll need glue, needle point tweezers, sharp paper scissors, a metric ruler, wire cutters, and good light. I like to keep all my pieces contained in their bags, on a cookie tray, or on a plate, so they don't get lost. Did I mention the pieces are tiny! For example, to make one vase with flowers, you need a teensy tiny clear bead, a tiny sprig of fake plant, and three teensy little red balls. You may want to use a magnifying glass. But oh, so adorable! How long will this kit take? Well, I'm about 5-6 hours into it now, and I estimate that I'm probably 2/3 to 3/4 finished now. But I'm not trying to rush. I really am enjoying cutting these tiny pieces of paper and fabric, and figuring out how to glue them into place. The quality and fit of the parts is excellent. It really is a well designed and attractive little miniature and very satisfying to make.

I have been doing miniatures all my life and have to say that this is probably one of my favorite mini projects of all time. The one I completed is Happy Corner and I actually purchased it from Banggood before I found these on Amazon. I loved it so much that I ordered these too. The one I received from China had glue and batteries. Since I haven't actually opened the ones from Amazon yet, I don't know what is included but the packages are identical to the Banggood one. I must point out though that this description on Amazon says plainly that batteries and glue are not included. The attention to detail in these kits is extraordinary, especially at this price point. The components are very tiny and I believe you would be happier with them if you have some previous experience building miniatures in this scale. The plants and vines in this particular kit were the most time consuming for me. To make life easier, you will need sharp scissors, an x-acto knife, and tweezers - I used several different tweezers. Here are some things I learned: 1) I made a color copy before I began, of the pieces that are to be cut out. This saved me when I dropped my stash of cutouts and misplaced 2 of the tiny signs. I had something I could replace them with. 2) when you remove the parts from the kit, place each of the various pieces in small plastic containers, i,e, beads, wood pieces, etc, all separate. It is amazing how difficult it can be to find those pieces among all the other things otherwise 3) Glues-I didn't use the glue in the kit. To adhere the backgrounds to the tin, I used tape runners. All liquid glue seems to dry with some bubbles. For the wiring that goes around the top of the tin - I experimented with what would hold the LED wires and the best I found for that was E-6000. For most of the other parts I used Aleene's Tacky (and my super hint) a drop of CA Glue. This acts as a clamp for hard to hold items while the white glue dries. I also used some Molto-Mini Glue but found it gummed up my tweezers and made it difficult to pick up small parts without constantly cleaning them. THE MOST IMPORTANT HINT- YouTube has videos of all of these kits but they aren't all named the same as the kits. The one for this particular kit is named "Create a miniature cafe house" and I found it quite by accident. It has no audio but if you follow it closely, it is the single most important tool you will have. It would be very difficult to do this otherwise since the instructions are in Chinese and though the pictures in the book are good, they are small. And one other hint that you may know but I didn't (and it isn't explained), the batteries go into the holder with the flat shiny side up. Wrap all of the grey wires together and all of the white wires securely together. Use a tiny piece of electrical or other strong tape to hold the wires together or they will just pull apart again. I used bits of greenery to cover the exposed wires. Sorry for the long post but hope this helps someone. As you may be able to see from the pictures, mine is not identical to theirs but it is easy to make your own small modifications. UPDATE: I have opened the kits from Amazon and it is true that they do not contain batteries. This is a bit odd since the ones I received from China did. That being said, however, the batteries are cheap and I wouldn't let the lack of them keep me from buying these precious kits.

My 15 year old daughter did this one over her Christmas break while I worked on one of my own. She did a great job but did get frustrated with the very tiny things. Her pack came with a variety of tools and the batteries were included but it’s best to have a set of your own tools and glue for these sorts of projects. I would have given it 5 stars but her instructions were missing a page of templates so she had to guess for certain things. I’ve done a few others of these and haven’t had any issue with missing instructions so I’m thinking it was a fluke. I did one of these with my other daughter who was 12 a year ago and that was a bit of a challenge for her but doing it together made it easier. I would definitely recommend these for older teens. Definitely not a kid project unless they’re very experienced.

I would recommend this kit to patient people who loves miniatures. Think of it as an adult craft kit, not really the best for very young or very impatient people. The first 3 pages of the instructions come with a guide telling you what all the pieces are named and categorized (the pieces are in bags labeled A B C etc) so finding the pieces arent hard, but may take a bit of time. They’re also extremely tiny pieces obviously but as long as they’re kept in a flat surface or in the bag, you wont have a problem (coming from a messy person who tends to lose things) . This kit is very well detailed and the manuals are in color and imaged based so you can understand everything well. I used tacky glue+ brush as well as hot glue and it works very well. The kit took me about 10 hours to do, but i broke it down over a weekend and combined with music or an audiobook made it super relaxing to do. I have experience with crafting so I really enjoyed getting back into my hobby with this kit and it looks amazing when the lights turn on (i took batteries out of a light up headband for this kit but they’re just little button batteries). Overall recommend, good for sitting down and working on by oneself. Would definitely buy for some friends birthdays too

Really fun project for people who like to assemble and play around with tiny parts and pieces. Took me some time to get the first one together but I enjoyed the process!

As a life long miniaturist, I must say I find these kits to be imaginative, well made and absolutely adorable! Review of "In a Happy Corner" - PLUSES: The picture directions are easy to follow with a bit of studying (a good rule for starting any project), and the paper cutouts are excellent! SLIGHT MINUSES: There is a scale problem with a few of the accessories: the cake rolls are crazy huge so I just eliminated them and used a slice on the canopy of the store. The jewelry finding chairs are too big and too low - small barrel shaped beads, like the planters, replaced those. And the curtain lace is way too large a scale for the tiny windows. I used some very fine tulle scraps. I don't like to use dried plant material in any permanent scene because it does eventually disintegrate and sometimes attracts critters. That is just a personal preference, and I think the included pieces are perfectly fine, if out of scale. I use model train landscaping materials, florist tape and bunka which makes wonderful flowers. I had these items in my stash so i had no extra expense for that. You must buy batteries (a total of 9 to light all three scenes). So figure another $5 to $10 dollars to complete your projects. Overall, the individuals responsible for these scenes are extremely creative and obviously talented. I would recommend these kits - with the above opinions.😊

I have built many DIY doll houses but this one is horrible. The instructions are unclear and tiny. The paper you have to use for several parts rip easily. Other parts are so small, I can hardly see them (I have 20/20 vision). I agree with the other critical review. Looks good...on the picture. Do not buy this.

even though it says glue is included, my order was missing this material. i tried using super glue but it was difficult to use on such small pieces.

Amazing, had a lot of fun doing it. The miniature objects were really cute. The wiring was a little bit difficult, but otherwise it was amazing. Definitely would buy again.
