Quality Mallet
I recently used the Estwing Rubber Mallet while installing a floating floor, and it was exactly what I needed to get the job done right. Paired with a hammering block, it helped me tap the planks into place without causing any damage to the flooring. The mallet has a solid, well-balanced feel that provides just the right amount of force without being too heavy. The rubber head is durable and non-marking, which was perfect for protecting the edges of the floorboards during installation. Even after hours of use, the mallet held up beautifully and showed no signs of wear. The handle offers a comfortable grip, making it easy to control, and the weight is ideal for giving enough impact without tiring out my arm. I'm happy I got the wood handle - it has a quality feel and works well to dampen any recoil from hammering. It made the flooring installation process smoother and more efficient. If you’re installing a floating floor or working on any project that requires gentle, controlled force, the Estwing Rubber Mallet is a fantastic tool to have on hand. I highly recommend it for its durability, comfort, and performance.

The right tool
Must have item for around the house/ shop. Re-seal paint cans, drive plastic stakes without damage, knock wooden pieces together, etc. When a steel hammer is too hard /heavy for the job, this is the right tool. Plenty of drive without damage. Plastic /rubber option is perfect and can get into smaller spaces than standard rubber mallet. Doesn't take up too much room in a tool box.

SHARP AS A RUBBER MALLET
Can one go down a hammer rabbit hole? Recent project required me to acquire a few new hammers, this one was high on the list. Owning a few Estwing Framing Hammers getting an American Made Rubber Mallet was a no brainer. The rubber heads give the perfect blow that needed to be delivered, I made quick progress. When I just swing it around I’m not to crazy about the thickness of the handle. Though in all honesty while working with it that wasn’t something noticeable. It’s well made, mostly likely it will last my lifetime, and I look forward to using it tomorrow and any given day after.

Indispensable tool
Everyone should have one of these in their BASIC toolbox for the home. I'm talking top 20 tool. Yes it can be used for pretty specific application by tradesmen, but it has wide application for the homeowner who doesn't want to harm hard surfaces. For a homeowner this is a BIFL tool. It will literally last your entire life, or for 3 days until your toddler finds it and unknowingly puts it in the garbage can. But at this price, that's an easy enough fix.

Great hammer!
I have always been fond of Estwing hammers and I needed a soft faced hammer so when I saw this one it was a no brainer! Very easy to use with chisels and the grip fits my big hands well. I expect it to last for years to come, it looks very durable!

24oz Rubber version mars wood
I got the dfh24 with the two "non-marring" rubber heads. A straight on strike seems to avoid marring the wood, but a glancing blow will definitely leave a mark as shown in the picture. The quality is excellent, handle is comfortable, if marring isn't an issue for you (such as for striking metal or rough lumber) then it's a good choice for an American made tool. I'm retuning to find a 24 oz that has the plastic heads of the dfh12 as I need this for cabinetry and furniture making.

Top notch tool
These mallets seem like they get a bad rap on the reviews. I'm a pro finish carpenter, and they work great for what do. The price is right also.
