Just buy a different brand monitor. This replacement won’t solve your Eufy problems!
This feels very much like a way to scam parents out of money. Our Eify monitor worked fine for about 2 years but the battery life was trash after we had our second baby. Got this replacement and the firmware wasn’t compatible but the cameras wouldn’t show up on my computer when I tried to update them (support just wanted me to buy more cables when I had already tried several). The camera still worked even with the firmware warning, though, so we kept using them. A couple months into using this replacement monitor its battery life is nothing. It says fully charged, then blinks red that it’s dying, then if we turn it off and on it’ll say 3 bars. The last straw for me was that it randomly turned off even when plugged in. Scary when using it to hear your young kids!! We have abandoned the Eify system entirely now and this replacement monitor was a complete waste of money.

Ordered this to replace previous
I originally bought the 2 camera set when my 2nd child was born. I absolutely love the product. I am a very anxious mom so being able to check both kiddos with ease is very important to me. After about 2 years of CONSTANT use, and rough and tumble care from my youngest who is into EVERYTHING, our handheld component went out. I could still hear my kids but couldn’t see them. I ordered this as a replacement. Upon first opening the box and trying to sync, I couldn’t get the monitors to connect. However, when reading reviews, I learned that I needed to update my cameras’ firmware. With easy to follow directions on the Eufy site, it took less than 10 minutes and I was good to go! Great product! And will order again in a couple years when my constant checking will inevitably wear out my handheld again.

KEEPS BREAKING AND WONT KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE
We had this camera system for our first child. It worked fine until the monitor stopped working/ would randomly turn off (not on sleep mode btw). Customer support told us they couldn’t help us, so we had to buy a replacement. This second monitor suddenly broke when the audio stopped working — leaving my baby crying until I check the video to see if she’s awake (I can’t watch it 24/7). We bought a THIRD monitor, and it is now not compatible with any of our cameras. So now we have 3 kids, 3 cameras, no working monitor and no way to monitor our 3 children - all under 4 years old (including a newborn). My husband (a biomedical engineer- he fixes MRI machines for a living) has spent hours on the phone with customer support trying to get them to send us the correct firmware (its not on the websites) and they keep saying they don’t know how to fix it and will “get back to us.” That was WEEKS ago. I checked the website and the only reviews on there are exactly like mine- it works, then it breaks, then they won’t help. Invest in a different baby monitor. We wish we had.

Second purchase of the monitor
This is my second monitor. Battery life on it does not last very long. Update. They replaced it and have had no issues.

Major charging design flaws
This review is based on our family using this camera for 2+ years. If you are looking for longevity, please do not purchase this camera monitor. There are better on the market. The video monitor USB plug becomes loose after repeated use and the monitor will not charge after months of use. The charging hardware is flimsy and cannot handle repeated plugging / unplugging of the monitor - which is an essential function of a baby monitor. This has happened to us twice already. The first time the camera monitor was out of warranty. So I spent $100 to purchase a camera monitor (no camera). This was in May 2023. We are now in December and it is happening again. I contacted Eufy customer service who will ask you multiple questions - but not all in one email. It has taken me several emails back and forth and the issue is not resolved. Mostly because it is clearly a physical issue and not a software issue. The company REALLY makes you jump through hoops to get a replacement, and that is why you should purchase a monitor from a more reputable company. I still have no resolve to the issue, but want other families to know the lack of quality and warranty service for the Eufy baby monitor.

Works great but firmware update took some effort
Camera works great after the firmware update. Had some issues loading the firmware though. Thanks to Edgar with Eufy support, we got it figured out. 1. When updating the firmware, the files in the zipped folder that you can get from the Eufy website must be dragged to your computer desktop the copied to the drive. You cannot drag the file directly from the downloads folder to the drive. 2. Load the monitor file to the monitor drive TWICE. Load time takes about 5 minutes. After loading only once, my monitor would not power on. 3. Load the camera file to the camera drive twice as well. This load time is much quicker at about 30 second. After loading once, the camera would not pair to my monitor. Upon the second load, the camera auto paired. After these steps, my camera and monitor now have matching firmware and work great.

Be Careful
I loved Eufy's baby monitor, but, sadly, had a really bad experience with their support team that soured me on the product and the company. My wife and I were woken at 2:00 AM to the sound of the low battery warning on the monitor. We discovered that, though it was plugged in, it was no longer charging. For those interested, the LED was white, indicating it is operating normally, not red, which indicates an issue. Luckily, the monitor stayed on so long as it was connected to a power source, but would power down once unplugged. The monitor was only 2 years old, and we were really surprised that the battery would fail so quickly. I spoke with their support folks, and was directed to upgrade the firmware. Once I did that, the monitor turned off and would not turn back on, even when plugged in. That was super disappointing because, prior to the firmware update, I at least had a functioning, if not mobile, monitor. This is where the bad service began. I replied back to their support email letting them know what happened and didn't get a reply from that technician for a day. I also called them, got a different technician, who was surprised to hear I was directed to upgrade the firmware and was told that I'd be contacted by an engineer within a day. This was a week ago and I still haven't heard from that engineer. I was subsequently informed that I was outside of their 1 year warranty and there was nothing they could do to help me. Their support emails have a link to escalate the ticket to a manager if you are not happy with the resolution, promising to contact you within 24 hours. I did that, but, again, still haven't heard from a manager. Since my monitor was out of the warranty period by about a year, Eufy was not obligated to help me, but, honestly, I expected better treatment for such an expensive product. Also, baby monitors are really important for parents, and it took me two or three days to understand that they were not going to replace the defective device or give me a discount to buy a new one. Those nights without a monitor meant my wife and I didn't sleep well. Eufy essentially shrugged at my issue and sent me a link to buy a new one.

You're probably going to need to update the firmware
It arrived and would not pair with my camera. Eufy support was able to help after a few days. The company's firmware files are scattered across different sites making it difficult to find the latest version to get everything in sync. I'm a little frustrated with the longevity of their monitor batteries and the fact that they use micro USB and not USB-C.
