Big top water for big strikes
I have bought generic whopper plopper imitations and had poor results. This thing is the real deal. It casts like a dream and when it hits the water you can quickly get it ripping a large noisy wake to get reaction strikes. Some of the cheaper ones are finicky about rod tip and retrieval speed to get a good noisy wake but this thing just starts going like and outboard motor. I bought a different color and liked it so much I came back and bought this in black. If you like bass you will like this lure.

Good lure!
These just plain catch fish. They can get snagged up on weeds just below the surface, but that's to be expected with treble hooks hanging down. My personal favorite color is "loon." I'm not quite sure how much color plays a role in how well they work though. Overall, they're well built and have nice sticky hooks, and are my "go to" surface lure in all sizes from 90 up to the big daddy 190.

Nice action on the lure, well made but a little heavy for small ponds.
Well made and Nice action on the lure. Expensive for a bass bait. Also, if I’m nit picking the lure is a little to heavy. The initial splash is sometime spokes the fish when fishing small ponds. Overall solid tire though.

Outstanding!
These are simply the best! Great reliable and sturdy product. You can't go wrong with this. Just be careful not to throw one high up in a tree! I have not yet but have seen some. They cast so far it is easy to over cast them toward the bank and end up throwing it high into a tree. These big hooks are going to hold. That lure will stay there if unreachable by some type of retrieval pole or being able to climb the tree to to get it!

Test your knots!
Loved the bait well made, great hooks Awesome action, my only advice is PLEASE make sure you test your knot before you cast. my first cast out of the box, a little to excited to try it out casted and the like got stuck or tangled in my reel, I broke it off :(( never to be seen again. That was an expensive cast!!

Great lure
Great action, highly recommend. I purchased the 8 pack of the imitation whopper poppers well and there's no comparison. This one the tail starts spinning right away, the imitation ones start spinning after reeling in 10ft or so.
