Must have for hair & makeup photography
I absolutely love how portable, lightweight, and bright these sources of warm, cool, and neutral are in person!! Super helpful as a duo to replace a traditional ring light.

Lightweight yet surprisingly good.
The biggest draw back, for me, is all the different modes, for the most part I find them superfluous, I'd rather have a brighter light. Having said that I have used them to light a video and a still shoot. The video was a trio of singers on a generic backdrop, the lights worked well and with a small on camera fill (for the eyes) I was able to get a good result. These will not light up a room so are better used for somewhat close up work. The quality of light is good if you don't want harsh shadows. Color appears to be accurate -I must get a new color meter- . It is possible to plug them in, you'll need to supply usb chargers, and use them. The still shoot was a mural painted with acrylics on canvas about 6' wide by 3' x three sections, later stitched together in PS -light quality was consistent. The canvas would not lay/hang completely flat but these lights were good, not perfect or great, at giving an even spread and helped minimize the shadows created by ripples in the canvas. I doubt these would be good for lighting anything that moves requiring short (1/60 or higher) shutter speeds, video is usually about 1/30. For higher frame rates/shutter speed get bigger/brighter lights. The provided stands are good, not overly sturdy or tall but good enough. They do have a nice texture to them though and are easy to set. The mini ball heads are, again, good but you'll have to be careful about tightening them as the light will drift if angled. The provided remotes are useful and can control all the modes -no need for yet another app on your phone/tablet- as long as you are pointing it at the front of the light. To me this is a slight annoyance as I like to see what the changes (mode/density/Kelvin) through the camera as opposed to standing in front of the lights going back to the camera and so on. Yes a monitor helps but then I'm in the shot. Yes there are ways of working around this but a sensor on the back of the light would be, IMHO, would be better.Overall these are yet another good addition to any lighting kit.

Travel friendly budget option for video light
These are good for those that would like strobe effects to videos or a constant overhead video light when doing virtual calls and such. I love the fact they dont occupy much real estate aside from the light stands themselves. Mind you you dont have to use these on the light stand if you dont want to. You can leave one on the stand and place another behind a desk or shelving depending on your setup. The Light stands are pretty basic. Not metal or anything. Lightweight. Im not a fan of ball head adapters but for the purpises of angling the lights theyre fine. The lights are compact, weigh almost nothing and come in a zip bag - Itd be nice if the bags were an inch or so larger to accomodate the mounts as you may forget if you dont leave them attachrd to the lightstand. But take up more space than a Monopod would. The lights themselves have a few pulsating modes. Theyre bright but not use outdoors at night bright primarily indoor situations in my opinion. I wish the power and mode buttons had slightly better feedback but they do work. You dont need to use both remotes so keep one as a spare. A great travel friendly budget choice for those that dont want to use panel lights 5 stars if they were just a bit brighter.
