Q: What does the "lifetime warranty" actually cover? if it sun fades! if it starts ripping apart at the straps?

I'm not sure about fading from the sun, but straps ripping out will take care of that with a brand new replacement... so I guess that covers it in its own way. It's an awesome bag! The color on mine hasn't faded yet, but I'm not worried about it if the bags doing more than I need it to.

Q: How long are the straps? want to mount to a tailgate of a gladiator and need to check if its long enough. tia

Both top and bottom straps are 40” so you have 80 total inches. It would go around the sides but it will go under/over for sure.

Q: Is this designed to stay on a spare while while driving freeway speeds?

It stays on at highway speeds and going over highway potholes. Also stays on driving washboard roads.
