Holtzman's Credit Card Sized Knife #1 Best Wallet Knife (Black)

Locking mechanism is not secure, or trustworthy. It broke off inside my wallet. Reached in for it and got stabbed. Threw knife away. Dont’ waste your money.

My daughter and son-in-law went to Barbados for their honeymoon last spring. While going through Customs he set off the alarm. They were having a very difficult time trying to figure out what it was about his wallet that had set off the alarm. He had completely forgot about having one of these, until my daughter reminded him. While telling us about the incident, I could see he was really bummed-out about having to leave his wallet knife at Customs. Therefore, we gave him this one for Christmas. He was very excited and happy to have one again! I sure was glad to see they still made them, because he had had his old one for a number of years.

The package actually included two knives; one is lighter, plastic only except for the blade, which can easily fit in a wallet together with my credit cards, , and the other one same size and design, but slightly heavier as it includes additional metal plates, but still can fit anywhere. I have not put the knives into actual use or stress tests so I cannot say much about durability, but I plan to keep them close for emergency situations, as a backup for my backup knife.

Ok, so I bought this to give as a gift, but I'm not sure i gerl good about giving it. It seems like it won't hold up long. It also needs to be handle with extreme care. That blade could hurt if it popped open unexpectedly. That said, there were definitely pros. I like the little blade guard.. adding a bit of extra security. And I just like the concept. It seems like the ideal thing to keep in your pocket edc supplies. I just don't know how much use you'd get b4 it breaks or does more damage than good. Overall, I'm going to call it "just ok." Some solid pros, but some definite cons as well.

This is not something you're going to keep in your pocket. This is not intended for daily use. Slipping this into your wallet for the times you just need a knife, it works perfectly. It comes pretty dull, so I spent some time sharpening it with a stone until I had a really nice edge on this blade. That's it.It's in my wallet, really sharp, and when I need to open a package, or cut a piece of rope, with nothing else available ... for $10 I'm all set.

I’ve carried a “credit card knife” for years now, mainly the cheap Ian Sinclair knockoffs. But I recently decided to try and find one more substantial and durable, and I definitely found it with the Holtzman’s. For one, it actually stays together when in use. The blade seems to be of much better quality. And the metal “plates” on top of what is normally just plastic, gives it a heftier feel and feels substantially more durable.

I love the form factor of this knife but parts that fold constantly are made of plastic, and I just don't see it lasting long. However, being how reasonably priced it is, I would buy another one. It's nice to just leave in your wallet and if you really have a need for a small knife for basic tasks like cutting open a box it works great. Like I said, I just don't see the plastic lasting for very long. I received 2 of them and one was entirely plastic and the other one was metal reinforced. Obviously the plastic only one is slimmer but I prefer the one reinforced with metal.

When I got it the blade was covered in something crusty, the screws were halfway out and when I folded it up you can see the posts and holes that are suppose to hold it together when assembled but did not so if I'm not holding it tight like when I set it down in between cuts it just comes apart
