1/8th definitely. 3/16th is like a pencil or thicker.

Q: Would this be appropriate for restringing anti- gravity chairs?

I don’t think you would need to pre-stretch it at all. In fact that might put too much stress on the seat material. This is stretchy but it’s also very tough. It doesn’t stretch nearly as easy as your average bungee cord of the same diameter. So if you loop this through all of the seats on an anti-gravity chair I don’t think it would have much give it all. It would probably last longer than the original elastic cord. If you string it snug enough, I would think that this would do a really good job.

Q: 2 questions for the manufacturer: Is the 1/4" true 1/4" diameter when not stretched? Is the 25' option a continuous length?

The 1/8” and 3/16” are in precisely that dimension in a relaxed state. So I think it’s OK to assume that a quarter inch would be a true 1/4”. It’s supposed to be continuous length so if it’s not, send them an email and they will send you a proper one. Their service in regards to me has been excellent.

Q: How to a cut these cords? I want 12-4 ft cords, so I was going to purchase a 50ft and cut it, but I’m not sure how to do it.

Clamp a utility knife in a vice, sharp edge up.. Wear work gloves with leather fingertips. Heat the blade to red-hot with a torch. Gently press the lightly stretched cord against and past the red-hot blade. Roll the cut ends gently between your finger tips.
