Instant Glow
I’ve only used this product for a few days, but I can already tell a difference, which is crazy. As soon as I put it on, it gave me an instant glow—not oily, greasy mess kind of glow, but the healthy, plump kind of glow. As someone who had beautiful skin during pregnancy, but is now struggling with uneven and dull skin tone postpartum, this made me extremely happy. Anyway, here are my initial thoughts: Formulation: •this contains a high ascorbic acid percentage. I’ve never been sensitive to ascorbic acid, so my skin does well with the high concentration. However, if you have more sensitive skin, consider starting with their other vitamin c serum that has a lower percentage of vitamin c. •there is no ferulic acid present, which is generally used to stabilize ascorbic acid. Without this, I’m afraid the product won’t last terribly long without oxidizing, so keep this in mind. The instructions do say to refrigerate after opening, which may help slow down oxidation. Texture: The texture of this serum reminds me of a bi-fácil product where there is an oil layer and water layer that need a little shake to incorporate. Don’t let the oiliness scare you though, it does sink in to the skin well and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. I haven’t had any issues with pilling when I’ve applied other products and makeup on top. Smell: As many reviewers have mentioned, it does have a particular smell to it. To me, it reminds me of tuna, which is quite unpleasant. However, it does dissipitate quickly. I just hold my breath while I apply it to my face XD I don't smell it at all throughout the day.

Happy with it, very good formula
First time with this brand, but using Vit C serum for years. So far one of my favorites in the range of price. Smells uncomfortable fishy but that is the Vit C normal smell, after some seconds over the skin the smell is gone, and personally prefer this than any extra essence. The oil is pretty thin and absorbs immediately. Haven't had any reactions but I have quite of time with this VitC concentration. I like how my skin looks, give me a glossy renewed look every morning. Any result with dark spots or fine lines, but I realized that is normal aging and nothing to do with it lol, anyway my skin looks healthy and younger for my age. Totally happy with this brand in my second week of use. Update: one month of use and still love it!

Could cause acne
I've been a huge fan of Cosrx products. I originally had used the lower strength of vitamin c and upgraded to this one a few months back. I feel that it does work in terms of discoloration, but for some reason this one makes me break out more than other vitamin c products I've used. I'm going to finish up what I have left of this bottle but I think I'll go back to the lower strength. My only complaint with the Cosrx vitamin c is how small the bottles are. It could be because vitamin c doesn't last long in terms of potency once opened, but it's a bit pricey for such a small bottle. You definitely have to keep it in the fridge and the smell is strange and not very pleasant but goes away shortly after application. I have not noticed any stinging or irritation from this higher strength vitamin c, but like I said, I have noticed acne break outs happening a bit more than before. My recommendation...give it a shot if you've already used the lower strength and feel you need more potency, but beware of potential break outs.

You can get over the smell
Probably one of the best Vitamin C serum out there. Sure, there's a strong smell but it goes away after a few minutes. I've read one review where it supposedly made someone sick and that's just not scientifically possible. Unlike other VC serums I've used, this one seems to lock in moisture. While it does have a slightly oily texture to it, it's nothing to worry about especially if you apply (which you should) moisturizer after. It definitely leaves a nice glow and it's part of my morning routine prior to apply moisturizer and SPF.

Did this make me sick?
After showering on a Friday evening, I applied the serum to my face. The smell was absolutely disgusting, but I was prepared for that having read the reviews. I had no negative skin reactions. A couple of hours later I started to get a headache. I took some ibuprofen, put the heating pad on my head, and went to sleep. I woke up at 3am with a terrible headache and I felt nauseous. I want to note that I get frequent migraines and that this was not a migraine headache. It was a painful tightness all around the top of my head. Also, I realized that the heat from the heating pad was reactivating the smell of the serum on my face, which was really gross. When I finally tried to get up and move around at 7am it was awful. I felt like I had the stomach flu. Sweating, shaking, nauseous. And then I threw up. I really did think I was sick and didn’t even consider the serum until a few hours later. I talked to my sister and mentioned my thoughts about the serum. She suggested that I take a long hot shower to try and get it all off of me and to change my bedding. So I did, and by the end of Saturday I was feeling not 100% but so much better. I haven’t seen any other reviews that mention this type of reaction. I tried googling it too and found nothing, so obviously this could be some kind of weird coincidence that I got sick for a short time while trying to use this product. Either way, I’m too scared to try it again. The smell alone might make me sick anyway. Good luck!

About to order another bottle
First, let me address the smell. I actually lost my taste and smell in 2020 and never fully got it back, so I had no clue this even had such a foul odor. I happened to stumble across the reviews, so I am quite amused simply because I was thinking my cat was wanting to spend quality “mommy and me” time every day while I was at the sink. However, now I am thinking it’s because she thought she was getting tuna 😂 JK, she likes to open my drawers and get hair ties in the bathroom, so I know she genuinely does want me for something. Now, regarding the oil: I love CosRx products, get regular skincare treatments (facials, chemical peels, etc.), follow some dermatologists and other non MD influencers on social media and all that fun stuff. In other words, skincare is important to me, so I don’t choose products that I put on my face willy nilly. I am about to order my second bottle, because I love this oil- I only use it a few times per week, but even then, it agreed with my skin, it is helping with my overall uneven skin pigmentation (it’s a slow process, so don’t expect overnight results), and it is more affordable than other brands out there.

Another update from the updated post - Updated Post from Original Post of "Smells AWFUL"
ANOTHER UPDATED POST: bought my second bottle. Still smells awful, but I was excited given that the first bottle helped my skin. The first time, the box did not have any ingredients, and I could not find the information online. I specifically did not want to use product with tocopherol. Well, this time, the box did have ingredients, and I am delighted to see that the vitamin e is sourced tocotrinels, but my excitement was short lived as I saw tocopherol was on the list as well (see photo). I will still use this since I opened the bottle, but I won’t be buying again. From four stars to three. UPDATED POST: This still smells awful, but I must be getting used to the smell, or ignoring the smell because the product has made my skin smoother and more radiant. I just finished my first bottle and contemplating if I want to buy another. Bumping this product from two stars to four stars. ORIGINAL POST: This is the worst smelling vitamin C serum ever. I dont want one that is strong in fragrance, but this literally smells like gas I feel like I am getting drunk while smelling the scent when I use it on my face. This is awful awful awful. I can’t get past the smell to see the results. The smell does not disappear, despite what other reviewers claim. I can still smell the serum an hour after initial use.

Vitamin C Miracle Worker: Brighter Skin Ahead!
I've spent years searching for a skincare product that would give me that coveted glow, and I'm thrilled to say that I've finally found it. The COSRX Pure Vitamin C 23% Serum is a total game-changer. I've got dull, uneven skin tone, and I've tried countless products that promised to brighten and hydrate. But this serum actually delivers. The combo of vitamin C, vitamin E, and hyaluronic acid is pure magic. It's like a drink of water for my skin - it's quenching its thirst and leaving it looking healthier and more radiant. The texture is perfect - lightweight, non-greasy, and absorbs super quickly. And the scent is subtle and pleasant, not overpowering at all. But what really blew me away was the results. After using it for a few weeks, I noticed a huge improvement in my skin tone. It's brighter, more even, and just looks healthier overall. Plus, I've noticed a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, which is amazing. What I love most about this serum is that it's not just a quick fix - it actually makes my skin feel more hydrated and plump. It's like it's been rejuvenated from the inside out. If you're on the hunt for a skincare product that actually works, look no further. This COSRX serum is the real deal.

A Real Vitamin C Serum That Works
I have been using the COSRX Pure Vitamin C Serum with Vitamin E for a while now and I really love it. At first, I noticed it has a slightly weird smell. It is not unpleasant but definitely unique compared to other serums I have tried. Once you get used to the smell, it is no longer a problem. What I really like is how it feels on the skin. The texture is very lightweight and it absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky or greasy feeling. It gives my skin a fresh and real sensation as if it is doing something beneficial deep down rather than just sitting on the surface. Since using this serum regularly I have noticed that my skin looks brighter and more even toned. It feels softer and smoother. The added Vitamin E helps with hydration and nourishes my skin. I also appreciate that it does not irritate my skin even though it can be sensitive sometimes so it is gentle yet effective. Overall despite the odd smell at first the performance of this serum makes it totally worth it. It feels like a high quality product that works well and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to improve their skincare routine with a Vitamin C serum that actually delivers results.

Good,it works.
I have been using this product for more than year, it works really very well if you have patience and can bear stickiness and odour smell. It made my skin clear and spotless. Don't keep outside better keep in fridge so that it doesn't turn yellow very quickly.I feel its bit costlier.
