I feel so silly stomping around the yard in these, but I tell you what- they work!! My poor yard is so compacted, I’ve been fighting to get grass to grow for 5 years. I used these a handful of times this spring, and everywhere I aerated, the grass spread out and took over- quickly! The design of the Velcro straps is fairly easy to use. I’m glad it came with a little spade for cleaning, because compacted soil and dead leaves build up in the spikes pretty fast. Be careful cleaning them! The metal on metal can cause some slippage when you’re using force to remove dirt, and I cut myself on the spade, not the spikes. These suckers are sharp, too. I stepped on some old slate tiles buried under the grass and these punctured clean through them. I do recommend, but they only work if you actually put them on and use them. They aren’t a multitasking tool, like golf shoes would be.

The product does its work, but the straps are really hard to put in. You have to have some patience to strap them correctly. I wish they would’ve designed this a little bit different easier to put in.

Worked great for aerating my yard. I wear shoe size 16 and these units are definitely too small for me, but made it work with careful balancing as I walked through the yard. For those with smaller feet, it is great as you can mow your yard and aerate at the same time while walking behind the mower. Grass looks much healthier then before. Although wish they came in a larger size for better stability and safety. Being metal, I expythem to also last much longer than their plastic counterparts.

Doesn't really fit on smaller feet even with boots on. Easy to put on but need some strength to get into and out of ground. Good design but not the best comfort wise.

Very easy to put on, works very well. The shoes don't require much force to stamp into the ground- but do moisten the soil a bit if there hasn't been rain for awhile! The points are sharp, so they do sink down all the way into the soil with ease.

The media could not be loaded. I love these! So far they’re holding up real well. I got these from Amazon today! Shipping was fast since I ordered well after midnight ET last night. I strapped them over some old winter boots that I now wear while doing yard work and as a woman of size 10/11 they fit perfectly with plenty of length for bigger feet. I started trying them on in the house and then figured I might as well go out to the backyard to rely test them out! These not disappoint at all. They really work best when walking in a marching motion, making deliberate steps straight down and picking your feet straight up. Even when I started being a little less careful and had lapsed into regular walking motion, I was ok. Those times when I wasn’t as careful,’or when I happened to step on a stony area, I was quickly reminded to lift those legs, all the while pulling a wheelie cart behind me for support. I’m pleased to say that the spikes have not collected any mud at all, even though my soul is a bit soft from recent days of heavy rain. This is a great product! so far it works as described… the proof is how well the soil will respond to the aeration. Will provide updates.

After about five minutes of aerating, my shoes looked like they had sprouted their own little mud gardens. Every few steps, I had to stop and scrape off the clumps, which made me feel like I was fighting a losing battle with Mother Nature. It doesn’t make the process impossible, just a bit... messy.On the bright side, the shoes are pre-assembled (a win for lazy DIYers like me), sturdy, and easy to strap on. Plus, they make you feel like a backyard ninja with spikes! 🥷🌱Overall, these are a solid tool if you don’t mind dealing with the dirt buildup. Just keep a stick or something handy for scraping, and you’ll be good to go. Four stars for the green lawn—and the brown shoes!
