When I was approached by Golden Star Beauty to try their tanning products, I was definitely interested. I have been a loyal user of St. Tropez tanning mousse, but there were so many flaws with the product and I was ready to find a new favorite. The first thing I was excited by was certainly the price point. These tanners are so much more affordable than other brands I've tried and the fact that they come prime is so much more convenient than having to get out to a makeup store. In terms of the actual products, I was really pleased with the packaging. This serum will probably last forever. Just 1-2 pumps will do your entire face and I like that there isn't any wasted product. The smell is not like other tanning lotions and smells kind of like brown sugar or vanilla. I use my hands to put the face serum on and it dries quickly. Wash your hands thoroughly after so that you don't accidentally tan your palms. The best thing about this tanner is that the color, in my opinion, is really authentic. If I want to tan just my face and neck, there isn't a distinct line that looks like I applied fake tanner. It is very realistic in tone and application, and as it wears on your skin it fades away instead of flaking off. I have very fair skin, so typically when I use fake tanners it is obvious when they start to come off but with this formula it just fades away like a normal tan. This has been the best time to try out a tanning serum because this time of year (winter) I am the most pale, so I am really able to see the difference in color and get a feel for how effective it is. Since I am mostly in sweaters at this time of year, I am really just using this serum to do my face/neck and then the dry oil for my legs, if I wear a skirt. I will continue to purchase this product because it is the best tanner for the price and how well it works. I'm also happy to be able to support a U.S. company that has done so much to make sure their products are good for people with sensitive skin and the environment.

I have never been a fan of face tanners. I always thought it came out strange-looking and plus I have melasma and some sun spots on my face and didn't want those to darken. WELL, this product just blows everything else away! First, it smells DEVINE, yes...a nice smelling self-tanner for a change! Then next, it's light and easy to apply and moisturizing. And the BEST is, it's not too dark all at once, it's very gradual. You can coat your whole face the first time and it's not going to get you like "Jersey Shore" tan right away. LOL Plus, the instructions that come with it are very detailed and helpful. Like I said, I have some freckled sunspots and after putting it on, I took a q-tip to wipe the solution off the spots to help not to darken those more and it worked! My face was very even. I used it two nights in a row and it came out like the picture I attached. Very even and nice and natural. THEN I scanned the bar code with my package and got a free gift with purchase! A really nice gold necklace that I gave to my 16-year old niece and she loved it. PLUS Golden Star Beauty gave me 10% off my next purchase and they followed up with me. THIS COMPANY KNOWS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I feel like I"m talking to a good friend of mine when they text. It's quite nice, for a change in this not so service friendly world. SO THANK YOU FOR THAT GUYS! I tried this self tanner for the first time recently and I am pretty happy with it overall. Face products can be so tricky because everyone's skin is so different. I'll start with what I loved: easy to put on/ not messy, even application and color, smells nice, didn't leave any obvious lines around my hair line. Only two negatives: it was a bit dark for my skin type (light medium skin tone with freckles) and I got two small pimples the next am (I have sensitive skin). However by day two the color had faded to the perfect shade and my skin looked like it was glowing! I would recommend this product, I would just use it in very thin layers.

I used to use this product a lot but over time realized I really didn't love it...for a few reasons. While it did smell good, it started washing off easily within a day or two. Also, it can make your face look a bit orangey and unnatural. It can also stain your hairline which makes it look even more unnatural. (You could probably use lotion first to help prevent that, though.) Lastly, I'm not sure why--but the film that protects the product itself with constantly peel off and get stuck to my hands, leaving specs of black residue on my hands right before I applied it to my face. Then I would have to go back and scrape off the little pieces of black film that had transferred onto my face after applying the product. Consequently, if I have nothing else on hand, I will use it, as I still have some left and it's better than being ghost white and scaring away children. But honestly, if you are looking for a great natural-looking face tanner, I would go with Isle of Paradise Medium Self Tanning Drops (vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, for both face & body). They sell a "self-tanning water" version of this, but I have never tried that. I have only tried the actual self tanning drops from Isle of Paradise - and LOVE it! It's cheapest at Sephora or often even QVC. (At Christmastime, QVC had a 2 for 1 deal!) One bottle should cost you about $30 plus perhaps some $$ for shipping. However, if you order $50+ worth of products at Sephora, you get free shipping. (P.S. I get zero credit for mentioning these drops. I just love them so much and wanted to give consumers another option to look into.)

I usually tend to stay away from facial tanning products since I have a few small dark acne scars, combination skin, and I don't feel like my tone is very even, however I am currently deployed and was feeling a dire need to add some color without having to wear a whole lot of make-up. This is probably one of the best products I have ever used for tanning. For the past few days I have washed my face before bed, then put this on (using the pump) all over my face, neck, and blended down to my collar bones. The application is smooth, and dries quickly but still gives you enough time to put an even layer on. It is NOT sticky when dry. Since using this product, I have not had any breakouts. Also, in just a few days, this serum has made my skin more luminous, clear, and healthy looking. I really think the addition of Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins, and oils have helped renew my skin as well as added the extra moisture it needs. My skin also feels slightly lifted or tighter in certain areas which has definitely gave the impression of younger/healthier skin. Gives a great and very natural looking tan! I will definitely order this again before this bottle runs out.

As stated in the title, I was gifted this product as part of their ambassador program, but I still intend to be fully transparent. I used this along with their tanning oil for your body, to make my face match my body. I was more nervous for this product than the other one, because you can hide your body, but makeup can only cover so much if it goes bad. Luckily that wasn’t something I had to worry about. This was very easy to apply. I did use a foundation brush (real technics) to help me as suggested in the instructions. I first applied a moisturizer on my dry spots because I have super dry skin and then applied dots on my high points, blended with my fingers, and then finished with the brush. It was super easy and didn’t make my skin drastically darker or orange, it just made it match my tanned body. I would recommend if you’re using this to go a shade darker in your foundation as well, or switch to a tinted moisturizer because that would kind of defeat the purpose if your makeup is still light. Oh, also the scent when applying is different than usual self tanners, but as it’s drying it definitely has that same scent that lingers until you can wash your face again. Not anything I haven’t experienced with other self tanners though. Would highly recommend for all my cruelty free/vegan/organic/paraben free beauty lovers out there! It’s so hard to find products that fit those parameters! Love this product and would buy with my own money.

Scent: The absolute first thing I noticed before use it the smell - Most self tanners honestly made me smell to bad especially around areas that tend to sweat. Not this product! It smells like vanilla and strawberries which is a dream to have on as it gets darker! Obviously in the morning (or after 8-12 hours) the self tanner scent does start to come through but who cares if your washing it off! Color: The color is why It doesn't have 5 stars. it is a tad bit on the orangey side but I feel like it will look great when I wash it off! Do wash your hands after application as the bottle states. I also would put as much on your face as I did - this can obviously cause spottiness because your face is not a smooth palette vs your skin. Quality: I love that the face serum is oil based, it feels like its apart of my skincare routine! My skin does not feel dry and feel exceptionally smooth! It also did not make irritate my skin or make me break out (yet) I really enjoyed this product and will be using all year. If anything changes I will update :)

This is amazing stuff, it made my skin glow beautifully after only applying it once with 2 pumps, color looks very natural! The serum doesn’t smell overpowering, reminded me of sunscreen and was super easy to blend and apply to the face & neck without leaving me with any patchy skin the next morning. I also tried using it on other parts of the body , which also works really well and I was really happy that I haven’t experienced any breakouts after using it which I was afraid of! I LOVE it, would definitely recommend to everyone who wants to achieve a natural looking holiday glow without the sun damage. The shipping came few days earlier than expected which is a BONUS! :)

Ich hab schon sehr viel selbstbräuner ausprobiert. Dieser hat mich überzeugt. Ich benutze ihn für Hals uns Gesicht. Bin allgemein sehr braun, nur Hals und Gesicht sind immer weiss. Der self tanner von Golden Star Beauty Hält was er verspricht. Super langanhaltene gleichmäßige Bräune ohne Streifen und Flecke. Werde ihn auf jeden Fall wieder bestellen.

Ho acquistato sia la crema per il corpo che per il viso! Era scettica inizialmente per paura di macchiarmi invece è stato facilissimo da applicare, comodo, veloce e mi sono sentita la pelle anche idratata morbida, rivitalizzata! Ho letto il foglietto illustrativo e ho visto che utilizzano prodotti naturali, oli, vitamine e acido ialuronico. Mi piace, credo che continuerò ad utilizzarlo ancora per parecchio tempo! Se volete essere sempre abbronzati questo è il prodotto giusto! Sono entusiasta!!!!
