Fantastic quality tripod
My original tripod was a very handy tool but this new 3leged thing is so stable strong and very very long 80 inches about a foot above my head and I'm 6foot 3 tall I use it for stills and video for stabilization but if it's out to its full extent I'm able to shoot from around 12 feet high or use to capture shots normally out of reach. I love the twist to lock design as stronger than the cam lock type I had originally.

Great for when you need height to change the shooting angle - or just need a great monopod
Shooting from above eye level can give some dramatic effects; for a planned landscape shoot I will use an inspection monopod that can extend to just over 12 feet, but this is obviously quite large as it collapsed size is just over 4ft to start with.So this is exactly what I was looking for as a lightweight carry round TALL monopod that I can use when trekking a bit further on foot.It is EXTREMELY well engineered - 3 extendable sections with a really nice smooth twist and lock mechanism. The twist locks are easy to grip an twist. The handle is nice and long and wide enough to have a good comfortable natural grip around it.The bottom has a screw in foot that can be removed and the optional 3 legged thing stabiliser can be attached (just ordered that). And the top has a static 1/4" thread surrounded by a sprung load 3/8" thread - so you don't need to find that adapter screw that is never to be found when you need one.Oh, and I absolutely love the multi-tool carabina - that is such a nice touch and thoughtful tool - flat head blade, allen/hex key and a bottle opener (essential when out on a landscape shoot π).Really impressed with this TALL, lightweight monopod - looking forward to attaching the 3 Legged Thing Docz2 Foot Stabiliser that I just purchased as well.An easy and definite 5 star βββββ for me.

The three legged thing with only one leg
When is a three legged thing not what it seems? When itβs a one legged thing, also known as a monopod. This is no ordinary monopod however. It is tough, rigid, has easy to lock twistgrip legs, and is taller than most at over 6ft in height when at full extension. On the top is a standard platform (not ball and socket) with a dual way thread β 1/4 inch and 3/5 inch β simply offer up the camera to the thread and it will screw onto the inner smaller thread (1/4β) while pushing down the larger outer thread .The monopod is made from magnesium alloy giving it a lightweight 728g and a very stiff, non-flexible property even when at full extension.Itβs not low cost, but is certainly high quality

Good, solid piece of kit but still lightweight enough to travel with
I am really excited about this monopod - it is well made and solid yet light enough to strap to a backpack and take hiking. This monopod is made of four lockable sections which means that the height can be adjusted to be as long as you would need (seriously, who needs a monopod longer than 2 metres?) Everything about this screams quality, the rubber foot can be removed to allow other accessories, e.g. tripod foot, to be attached and the screw at the top of the monopod (as well as the bottom one) have been designed to take both 1/4" and 3/8" fittings.Simply put, if you want a good monopod this one is pretty much unbeatable. Highly recommended.

The one-legged three-legged thing
If you're a keen photographer, you need this! It's so incredibly useful while you're out and about - whip this out, thread your camera on to the top and stabilise your photos easy. It's incredibly sturdy but light, and it feels so well made.To be honest, I would have said it's too expensive except really good quality camera stuff is spendy, and if it means your precious camera is kept safe and sound, it's worth every penny. It can also stretch up to 6 feet - it absolutely towers above me and makes taking flatlay images much easier, too.Just brilliant all round. Don't know how I ever rubbed along without it!
