Great little tool for the right purposes
I am pleased and impressed with this little guy. For Sunday slacks or classroom carry (I’m an elementary teacher), it is just right. Yes, it is quite small…. It is purposely designed to be a ‘mite’ for those who want a little, non obtrusive, gentlemen’s pocket blade for light duty tasks: -slicing an apple, orange, kiwi, etc. -opening mail or a boxed package -sharpening a pencil -cutting a stray thread off clothing -slicing paracord for a tie-up project -extracting a skin sliver -duct tape tasks -etc. Buyer, take note — this knife is NOT: -a whittling blade if you want it for big gripping and hard cutting (though it will work nicely for delicate carving details) -a ‘first knife’ for kids or grandkids (too small, too sharp, and way too pointy) -a competitor to tactical knives with pocket clips -an American made knife (yep, it’s made in China, so either don’t buy it or get over it) -a bone handled knife like your Grandpa had (this is old-timey, but a less expensive version with textured synthetic scales) -A smooth flipper that opens with a quick snap (this has a stiff opening mechanism because it is designed that way) Other details: -Fit and finish are what you should expect from a $15 knife; good enough but not exceptional -Blade is well-sharpened out of the box; it will slice foolish fingers -It has a helpful, tiny, sharp point for the right tasks (removing pizza crumbs from your keyboard, but not prying open paint cans) -The blade locking mechanism works well (tight for safe functionality, but not inoperable for capable hands) I’ve had this knife for a week now and have used it for numerous everyday tasks. It’s a winner for the right purposes. It can durably handle pocket tumbling with keys and coins. But, misuse a 4.7” knife with a 2” blade and it will break. Not the knife’s fault. Note: My rating is on the quality, functionality, and my satisfaction based on reasonable expectations when buying a small $15 knife, not a custom made blade :)

At first I was like, Eghhh and then I was like, Yaaaa!
I just picked up this little pocket knife today, so this review won't be for function or durability, that will come in time. I'm reviewing this knife off of first impressions only. I was pretty excited for this Mighty Mite after reading some reviews and watching the small handful that are on YouTube. But when I received it, I was less than impressed. The knife was lack luster at its best. The knife was slathered in, what I'm assuming was grease, the bolsters and lock liner were showing oxidation, the OT badge was barely visible because of the grease and it was near impossible to open the knife using my finger nail. So my excitement turned to disappointment and threw it to the side and went along with my day. But later, I was determined to see if I could clean the knife up and make it look any better. Using a lite degreaser, Mothers wax, some Q Tips and a microfiber cloth, I cleaned that little sucker up and my excitement is back. Aesthetically, I love the way it now looks. The pics show the centering is not bad at all, actually pretty good for this price knife. When you're finally able to open it, it locks up TIGHT. There is no side to side or up and down play on this thing, but with all these kind of pocket knives, it'll develop over time. The bolsters are decivingly "sharp". I don't mean the profile, which is rounded, but the edges of the bolsters were sharp. Not enough to cut you, but noticible when you're fidgeting with it. Wish they would have just hit the edges with a buffing wheel, but honestly, not that big a deal. The blade came in extremely sharp, but did have a minor fold on the edge. Nothing that a quick sharpening stone won't fix. And to be honest, the blade is actually a nice size and impressed me with how strong it seems to be. I thought this would be extremely flimsy, but no where near the case. All in all, I'm VERY happy with this knife and quality. Now that it's all cleaned up, I'll be carrying this on me daily and showing it off when I can.

perfect "don't even know it's there" knife.
This is a fun little knife. I usually carry an EDC pocket knife in the coin pocket of my jeans, but some of my jeans have a really small one and that’s when I carry this tiny knife. When it’s on me I can’t even tell, which is great. It’s very very small, but that’s not really an issue for the blade. When exactly does one need more than 2” of blade for an EDC knife? Almost never. The bigger issue is the handle in that it has minimal girth making it hard to get a solid grip on. Cutting cardboard boxes or rope is no problem, but if you find you need to cut a one inch thick stick the handle size will make it a little less than fun. Those situations rarely come up though, and the up-side is a knife that can fit in any pocket and you don’t even know it’s there. If you wear tight jeans or are a woman who is doomed to all those jeans that have zero space in their pockets, this is the knife to get. Bottom line is that if you are buying this knife, it's because you WANT a tiny knife. The liner lock works fine. I’m not really a fan of it, but that’s me and not the knife. I’m not a real big fan of slip-joint knives that lock – I find them relatively unnecessary and more of a pain in the butt than anything else. That said, if you are not the most proficient with a knife, then it’s a great feature. Quality control is garbage. First knife required ridiculous force to open, the liner lock needed to be filed down, and then one of the scales peeled off. It went back for a replacement. The replacement had the badge fall off, but that was a 2 second super-glue fix. I should mention that I have three Schrade pocket knives and the badges on two of them have had to be super-glued back on. As for the edge, it’s fine. It’s stainless steel so it will take longer to sharpen than carbon steel, but I also don’t have to keep it oiled and dry like my carbon steel EDC knife so that’s the trade off. I have no difficulty stropping it to shaving sharp. It came out of the box "sharp enough" for most people. That's never sharp enough for me, but almost no knife comes out of the box sharp enough for me. Other than the badge falling off, there’s zero flaws in the fit and finish on the replacement knife. For light duty tasks this is the perfect “don’t even know it’s on me” knife. First knife I received was garbage; the replacement was 4 stars because the badge had to be glued back on. But if I hadn’t had to glue the badge back on it would have been 5 stars.

Above and beyond the price point
Honestly didn’t expect much at this price point but this knife’s quality is well above it’s price point. It has a nice brass lock to keep the blade open and safe. The stainless blade holds an edge amazingly, the knife is comfortable to carry. I do plan to whittle a little with it so I guess we’ll see how it goes there.

My dad loves this, great little knife!
My grandfather swore by these. Always had an old timer in his pocket. Bought this for my dad for Father’s Day. It’s a great quality little pocket knife, by a well known refutable company. My dad says it’s his favorite pocket knife and the one he uses and carries the most.

Still a Good Knife
I bought this to replace a much older version of this knife. Losing it seriously annoyed me, so I bought this knife as an immediate replacement. Pros: I like the size and versatility of the knife. No weight, to speak of. Locking blade feature works well. Knife fits pocket without being noticeable. I carry it with me daily and use it for everything from opening letters and packages; smoothening rough fingernails; cutting through cords, tape, or wrapping; cutting shrink wrap and plastic packaging, and other such applications. Cons: Blade is a bit stiff, making knife harder to open than my older model. I may address this matter with a file, if issue does not correct itself through daily use. Overall, the knife performs well, blade sharpens easily, for as sharp as my uses require, and grip fits my fingers comfortably. Handle is smooth and looks nice. The knife is a fine replacement for the one I lost. Quality is as good as, if not better than, the Old Timer I bought fifteen of twenty years ago.

superbe mais...
Un très joli canif proposé à un prix très intéressant.. le délai de livraison est un peu long mais c'est annoncé donc... par contre, un "made in China" sur la boite en carton me laisse interrogatif...??..
