Dear redshift, i love these pedals so much! can you make them in a flip up version so i can put them on my folding bikes? i'll buy 3 pair right now!

Is there an alternative to these that arent so pricey? Id definitely buy at $100, but this tips the scales, even with the features.

I hear yah! They were on sale for $110 during black Friday and Christmas season here on Amazon and on their website. Maybe will happen again mid season or Presidents Day? But if you think about it, compared to this for commuting, there are some pricey performance pedals out there for the racing/road/mountain bikes.

Question 3

Before I return my order, I would like to know if you have a suggestion as to how to keep my shoes from slipping off of the pedal.

I just purchased this pedal and am having the same issue :-( It’s a bummer bc I REALLY like this pedal in concept and it most definitely increases visibility during dusk/dark however it’s just too slippery even under casual dry riding conditions. The bike shop I spoke with suggested adding hand cut grip tape strips but this is not an ideal solution as the surface is very irregular. I’m planning on returning too.

How is the grip on these pedals? Looks like you might need to purchase a pair of cycling sneakers to use them...

Thanks for your interest! The Arclight pedals have integrated, non-removable aluminum grip "teeth" around the perimeter of the pedal that provide excellent traction on all types of shoes. Compared to sharp pins, the aluminum teeth are less likely to damage shoe soles and are friendlier to your shins and clothing.
