Yes it matters, the one you asked about is for the negative side, it is a smaller diameter than the positive-90982-05054 I bought both of them along with a new battery and also "try this" NOCO NCP2 CB1045 4oz. Brush-on Oil Based Battery Corrosion Preventative. Won't have to do anything for a couple of years..
