Why is your size chart so confusing? If I'm a 32-inch waist, what should I order?

They run true to size, so if you normally wear a 32 I would recommend buying the 32.

How about quick-dry while traveling?

These are thicker, heavier cotton not polyester, so I dont believe they're quick drying

enough room for reading glasses?

Yes, I put my reading glasses in the pockets all the time. Plenty of room
