Wish it were more reliable - UPDATED 12/07/2020
Updated 12/07/2020 - Thanks to some stellar customer support on the part of the Leviton team, I can now give these a rock solid 5 stars. Turns out that the issue was not with the devices themselves, but with the wifi router supplied by my cable provider. Went back and forth with Leviton customer support for a couple of months, only to find out that the Spectrum/Time-Warner wifi router doesn't allow a 2.4ghz and a 5ghz signal to be broadcast separately. So these devices couldn't always acquire the 2.4ghz network that they require to work properly. Swapped out to a TP Link dual-band wifi router and these Leviton devices have been 100% reliable ever since. All of my other smart plug products work much better, as well. Kudos to Scott and the tech team at Leviton for being patient and working through this with me!==============Works when it can maintain a connection. But we have occasional power flickers where our wi-fi routers and repeaters blip out. These reboot faster than the routers can come back online, so I have to walk around the house and unplug every single module and plug it back in after the routers are back online. They can't seem to acquire a signal without unplugging them. And on top of that, we constantly get one-off "device is not responding" - there's no apparent reason. I'm a bit frustrated as I have about $800 in these devices and they are no more reliable than my old X10 system. I wanted something that I didn't have to constantly troubleshoot and fiddle with - and these are not it. We have about 20 of these modules throughout the house for under-cabinet lighting, lamps around the house, etc. If it were reliable, I'd love it - they are very flexible as it comes to dim levels, dim/brighten rates, and the app is easy enough to use, as is the integration with Alexa. A bit of a learning curve to get everything working together. Going to try small UPS devices on our routers and see if that enhances reliability. I am also considering adding a secondary wi-fi network just for these devices to see if that improves reliability - but at this point, I'm not that hopeful that these issues can get resolved. If you just need one or two of these for home security lighting, you'll probably be fine. But I don't know that I would try to put these in the entire home again for automation, based on my experiences. Update 11/10/2020 - a firmware update helped but these still go offline far too often. About ready to rip them out and throw them on eBay and look for another solution. I'd love to have the $800 invested, back, though.

Dimming Lights to a Whole New Level
The media could not be loaded. I don’t recall writing a review or not, but this is for the Leviton DW3HL-1BW plug-in dimmer with Wi-Fi Technology. I bought approximately ten last year for Christmas lighting automation, dimming, and flexibility. I did not want to go through learning any convoluted learning curve for something relatively simple I wanted to achieve. This product achieved a seamless and relatively easy setup.Based on my professional opinion installing home theaters, IT network and infrastructures, and automation as a professional field technician, I can say with confidence that this product performance exceeds my expectation.Setup: Set up was a bit tricky at first, but once I got about three programmed on my network, everything was a breeze. I recommend reading the instructions in full details first before installing — I have learned that reading and understanding the manual from start to finish gives you a solid foundation on proper steps and procedures. There is one area for the setup procedure I have learned was a bit unclear and could have been written better; it has to do with your phone recognizing the plug-in’s MAC address as a “wireless network” as your phone would show “no wireless network” during discovering the product’s MAC address. The next critical step is to open your settings on your phone and to connect to the Leviton’s plug-in dimmer MAC address as the new “wireless network”. After you connect, return back to the Leviton app you downloaded to complete the setup.I have created a spreadsheet for their device names and serial numbers for each device and each device’s room location — believe me, this will save you a world of headache trying to remember what is placed where.Room Location and Configuration: I written down each room for where each plug-ins will be installed. For example, for the Family Room, I have two plug-ins named as “FAM RM Fire Place L” and “FAM RM Fire Place R” (since I have two mini Christmas trees on both left and right sides of the fireplace for their respective electrical outlets). I also labeled the other room as Dining Room. For each device, I have them labeled and identified on the app as Dining RM L-Bay Window and Dining RM-R Bay Window. The latest version of the My Leviton app is 2.1.00 as the time of this writing. This new version is more robust and the GUI is surprisingly very simple. Thank you, Leviton. As with other home auto programs, Leviton is not going anywhere as compared to IRIS. Leviton is a major industry leader in consumer and commercial electrical products. Your investment won’t be thrown out the window like Lowe’s IRIS version. This product works with Google Assistant, Alexa, and August. I love Google Assistant. I have it programmed into my Google Hub (now called Nest Hub). It is very convenient and easy for me to change the lighting scheme by saying: “Hey Google! Dim all lights to 50%.”Attached are some photos and a short video. Also note: I will be updating my wireless network. Your regular wireless router can only perform so much — this is the reason why you should consider installing a WAP. Since my wireless network has approximately over 50 devices, you can imagine the router working overtime on handling DHCPs and other products fighting for priorities. But if you have about 10 devices on your network, you should be okay.

Great addition to our deck lights
EDIT JAN 2021: I am taking off a star because there are compatibility issues with iOS14 on Apple devices. It has really made it a pain when I had to add it back to the network. In all fairness, my WiFi network decided to take a vacation and I had to re-create it. That's not this plug's fault. But when I tried to add it to the new network, that's when I discovered there are issues with iOS 14. I got it done using an older iPad, but it was a pain. Maybe the newer model of these does not have that problem. I hope so.EDIT AFTER 1 YEAR: Still works great! I highly recommend this.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I am using this plug to go with the string lights on our back deck (see pictures).Pros: Easy install Dimming feature 100% functional WiFi reception is good, even through a exterior brick wall and some thick steel. Alexa integration was easy. Just follow the steps to get the Leviton app, detect the plug and integrate it into the Alexa app.Cons: Pretty much none. Have experienced 0 issues, even with it being outside under cover. This actually works well. We shall see how long it lasts outside (under cover) during an Alabama summer and winter. For now, I recommend it!

De”lighted”
So happy with the easy set up of multiple lights which are controllable via the Leviton App or Google home. Now I can have my lights on via a voice command or done via the app….also enables dimming of lights which is handy for when you want more ambience. I was particularly interested in this for security reasons, so that I can set up the lights to come on and go off while I’m on vacation/away. Very intuitive set up and a quality product. Recommended by a family member….and having done this myself, I highly recommend!

Good product but not great
It's a good product, a little confusing to install the app. Sometimes the light doesn't take command from app and you have to restart, but not a big deal.

Connected to wifi only once
Worked once, changed internet password and wasn't able to get to connect again. Very disappointed as I have other ones that worked great. Three stars as it might be that I got a melon this time.

Easy to use with useful capability.
Works as promised! Enjoy being able to dim our lights. The programmable on/ off times for the lamp is also a great feature which will be useful when we go on holidays. Easy to install & to use.
