Hartz UltraGuard Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs and Puppies

I purchased the Hartz UltraGuard Flea & Tick Collar for my dog, and it has been very easy to use and convenient. The collar is simple to put on and adjust, and it fits comfortably without bothering my pet. Once applied, it provides continuous protection, which is very helpful compared to monthly treatments that require remembering reapplications. I also like that it offers up to 7 months of protection, which makes it low-maintenance and cost-effective. My dog seems comfortable wearing it and hasn’t tried to remove it or scratch at it excessively. The collar is lightweight and doesn’t seem to interfere with normal activity like walking, playing, or sleeping. It also has a clean, simple design that is not bulky. Overall, this is a convenient and practical flea and tick prevention option for dogs. I would recommend it for pet owners looking for long-lasting, easy-to-use protection.

I get this every spring and our works great for both my Maltese, as well as my Sheltie Heeler mix. We have many stray cats that run around the yards here and fleas are always an overwhelming issue with us dog owners. I started using these's collars a few years ago and in those years not once have we had to deal with fleas, or even ticks. I always get 3 each a year because after about a month is they go to the creek or get their groom, the old ones are not as effective after they are bathed because it's a powder that works threw their fur into their skin. I take off them in the house, and put them back on with their leash to go for walks

Seems to be working arrived 6/3 and put on same day. On day 3 and dogs seem less itchy. THEY STINK and LEAVE WHITE POWDER BEHIND. Only negative I see so far and for the price I'll deal with it. Paid $4.15 ea X2

I will never buy this again. I decided to try Hartz Ultra Guard because it had good reviews and a lot less than the other natural flea collars I have used in the past. Worst mistake ever and cost me more money in the end. I have an 8 year old Golden Doodle and I thought we were going to lose him. The chemicals in the flea collar made my dog sick. He went from running around full of energy to not eating and could barely move within a few days. I had to clean the dog multiple times because he did not have the energy to stand and use the bathroom. After taking him to the vet and running tests we finally figured it out. Its been 72 hours and he is finally able to eat about 25% of his normal amount and use the bathroom like normal. Spent Christmas day crying because I thought I was going to lose my best friend. This was not worth the $20 savings. I am sure this is not a normal occurrence but need to be mindful if your dog has or may have allergies. I hope this helps other dog owners avoid an emotional roller-coaster.

I’m giving this a five stars in hopes of this flea collar doing it’s job, I had to give a rating even though results are yet in…that said, this collar is not going around my pups neck, but into the canister of my vacuum cleaner. Fleas are everywhere this time of year. I’ve been told by folks who don’t have pets that they have seen fleas indoors and outdoors. I live in San Diego and evidently from what the Vets tell me we have one of the highest infestations in the country due to our climate..that being said both of my pups are medicated, I vacuum everyday. One of my girls is a Pitty and of course has skin allergies like many do. She is allergic to flea saliva🥹.. One day recently had her at the Vets who mention that putting a piece of a flea collar can help to reduce the number of fleas caught in canister that would have potential to escape back into the living space..hence the reason for my purchsase. The price is right so we will see how well that works.

It took some time to completely start working, like dayssss, but finally I got to see my fur baby fleas free for couple of months, but it doesn't last 7 months as advertised, I bought it on January, my dog barely goes outside but last week I felt confident that the collard would protect her and we spent the weekend away and she came back we so many fleas from my friend's backyard. I thought she was still under the protection of the collard but apparently not anymore.

Haven't used it yet but I know hartz been around for a long time and they have very good product I see alot of comments about irritation around the dog neck area I give my dog the flea and tick pill every month never had a problem

Absolute bad and non effective product sold in disguised manner. Unfortunately, it is not eligible for return; this is really fooling the buyers.

My dog has had it on for more than 3 weeks - no improvement at all. Don’t waste your money.

My dog used to catch ticks everytime we go on walk. The product is a life changer. I haven’t find or see any ticks on him, it is been a real life saver for our household. My dog is thankful !
