Nope, it doesn't open, what you see in the picture is what you get, however, it is heavy and made of good quality, I was impressed especially for the price. Very nice replica

Is it Hypoallergenic?

I am unsure if it's hypoallergenic however, it does seem to be coated but I would not want to steer you wrong.It is a great piece for a collection but mine stays displayed in it's box.Apologies I couldn't be of more help

does it turn your neck green

I never found that out. I have sensitive skin, so i took clear coat nail polish and painted the whole thing. Wore it an entire evening. Flawless!
