This cleanser is mild, soothing and great for sensitive or dry skin. It cleans without irritation and the niacinamide and glycerin help keep skin calm and hydrated. The large pump bottle is convenient and lasts a long time. It’s a simple, dependable cleanser just not the best choice if you prefer a deep, foaming wash.

What I love most is how quickly it absorbs. my skin feels soft, smooth, and soothed almost instantly.

The product is great, lightweight and friendly for my skin type. I have quite dry skin and this helps alot, especially for the winter time. I also use sunscreen, and so my face feels quite oily by the end of the day. This product ends up making my skin feel clean. However when using it, make sure to emulsify (rubbing your hands together with the product for around 30 seconds), so that it foams up a little bit. This way it will really get into your pores and do its job. For the scent, it has a light smell of a basic cream, kind of like vanilla/cocoa in a way. You cant smell it on your face however when its washed off. It doesn't foam as much as other foaming cleansers though, as it is supposed to be more for gentle and sensitive skin types, so if you have more oily skin, go for something that foams more.

Cetaphil Cleanser is a straightforward and effective addition to any skincare routine. Its simplicity is what makes it stand out; the texture is silky, and it’s incredibly easy to use. I’ve been applying it twice a day, morning and night, and it’s been night and day (🤓) for my dry skin. What I appreciate most is how it preps my skin perfectly for moisturizing, helping to lock in hydration throughout the day. But won’t lie, I do moisturise consistently throughout the day or add a layer of sunscreen if needed which may take away from the cleansers ability. There’s no strong scent though, which I prefer and tend to lean towards these days because I think scent personally affect my sensitive skin. But it’s gentle enough that it never irritates my skin. The size of the bottle is really work your money. It lasts a long time even with using it twice a day.

I started using this product in my late 30s, 7 years ago. Initially it did wonders and I used it every evening. Retrospectively I now realise that my subsequent skin problems all stemmed from the acid in this product. A few months after I started using this I noticed eczema and started drinking cortisone to control breakouts. This was followed by new symptoms of painful and excessive flushing when in the sun or even having one sip of alcohol. This was followed by a few years of battling new rosacea breakouts. I recently went to see a make up artist who was interested in my skincare products. She advised me to stop using this and suggested a moisture locking facial wash and toner. Within 4 weeks my symptoms of all the above have cleared by > 80%. I don't want to criticise the product, it's great for my teenager's oily skin, but be very careful if you have dry or aging skin.
