Satisfied
This was the cheapest projector I could find that seemed to meet all my requirements without any fatal flaws. I hoped it would cost less. I've been using this as my main TV for several weeks and so far am happy with it. Notes: - Good brightness. No problem watching in daytime, do sometimes close the blinds. - Internal speaker is OK but we did end up hooking up a better speaker via 3.5mm. - Keystone correction is digital-only. - Lens has zoom adjustment but it's limited. - Projector gets quite hot while operating. - Picture quality is sharp, with good color. Overall very happy with the visual experience. So far this projector has met my expectations and I have no major gripes. I will update this review if it craps out... UPDATE: 2 years later, it has not crapped out and is still working fine.

It's a great projector for the money
I bought this projector for our outdoor patio. Some people claim that you can watch things in daylight, that is not true. The picture is visible in daylight but too washed out to enjoy. We use it once it gets dark out and it gets very bright then. This is a 1080P projector and looks great at proper viewing distances (not too close up). We have it projecting an image on a 100" screen. Colors are accurate, picture is bright, and there isn't much visible lag.

Solid Projector for Both Office and Mobile Use
I'm very pleased with this projector. It's notably bright and connects seamlessly with various devices. However, to achieve the best visibility, especially during mid-day, it's necessary to have the room fairly shady. The image quality when focused is impressively bright and clear. The keystone correction feature is helpful for squaring the image along one axis. That said, it’s important to note that this projector needs to be centered along either the horizontal or vertical axis to function properly. It cannot project diagonally across a room (from one corner to the center of a wall) and still allow for keystone adjustments, which might be a limitation in some setups. Given its performance, this projector offers good value for its price. I would recommend purchasing a carrying case for it, as this makes it easier to transport and protects it from damage. Overall, this projector is a commendable choice for anyone looking for a reliable and bright projector without breaking the bank.

A great projector at a great price
Our new home came with a mounted Sony projector that was on its last leg. It finally crapped out and we tried to take the budget route and ended up with a really bad, really loud projector. So I decided to bump up the price point a little and found that this one had great reviews. I couldn’t be happier. It was easy to install, easy to adjust, the picture quality is great (there is a weird ‘frame’ of light around the screen which might just be a setting I haven’t explored…. But it seriously doesn’t bother me). It’s been a few months since I’ve installed it and still no problems. Hoping this thing lasts a long time!

Flawless so far
I've had a Viewsonic PJD5555W (WXGA, 1280x800) for quite a few years and have been waiting for a Viewsonic 1080P projector to come down in price. The PJD5555W has been flawless for almost 6 years and when I saw this one that had the same throw ratio and looked identical as far as connections on the reverse, I ordered it. It's only been a week but so far, so good. Furthermore, it appears to have some functions that the older Viewsonic does not to optimize the image and the brightness is slightly better. Will it last another 6 years? I don't know ... I may not last another 6 years, but so far so good. Very happy with this one.

Ruined my Super Bowl!
This item worked great for two days. It was perfect for my walk out basement which has tons of ambient light. The projectors lumens was plenty for this room. However, I had 30 friends over to play cards and watch the Super Bowl and this thing craps out. Didn’t even have it a week. The picture froze on the display and there was no way to even power it off except to unplug. When powered back on; it still kept the same frozen picture. Messed with it for hours and nothing would work. Called customer support and they had no fix and said to send it back.

Plenty bright with true 3000, lights on lumens
Great projector. Plenty bright Unfortunately, my HP Laptop with UHD video card is outside the range of what it accepts. Need to create a firmware update so the projector can process the signal. The projector works fine with older HP laptops, Microsoft Surface and Samsung tablet.

Paying for the brand ?
I did a LOT of reading before ending up woth this viewsonic. I also ordered several other viewsonics in lower resolutions before getting this. It had some key features like ansi verified lumins not just wild claims, dlp card that allows for good clear colours and a lamp which I've found through lots of reading is what you end up coming back to with very high end projectors If you have a lot of money and want ultra short throw then the laser ones are an option. If you have more money still I believe they go back to lamps as a light source. But what I found after spending £400 on this unit is that theres a lot of light "leakage" around the screen edge even without much keystone correction in use. I've had to add velvet curtains to combat this. Its worst in dark films or low light films. On the whole I'm pleased with the clarity and noise levels of the the viewsonic. But a friend recently bought a wimo budget led projector and I have to say its impressive. There seems to be no light leakage, picture is clear and annoyingly some features like zoom scale the picture to fit, effectively making the sceeen bigger or smaller on the wall. Where as my £400 viewsonic doesn't scale the picture when you zoom, it simply cuts off some of the outer area. (That said you can use the optical zoom on the lens but not to nearly the same scale of difference in projected screen size)

Great for things from office to gaming!
TLDR: Yes it is a little pricy for some people but you will be happy you bought this in the long term! If you are using it daily, don't cheap out. Bought for domestic use. I got used to using a projector after being given a decommissioned one back in high school. A popular name they use in schools is.... ViewSonic! So I might be a little biased on this review. Recently the bulb in my 720 version of this projector died (literally exploded) due to age (i may have used it for over 15000 hours....) and that day we had an extreme low temperature that no amount of furnace heat will cure when it is against an external wall (-60C in Canada). So I turned on the projector and about 2 min later *POP* darkness. I decided to upgrade instead of replacing the bulb even though the projector was only 4 years old (2019) So I bought this! It is basically EXACTLY the same as the old one, even uses the same remote :D The difference is the resolution and a bit of software features. I love this brand for how long the products last and the functionality of them. Even if i was to replace the bulb in the previous projector, it wasn't going to cost too much! The colours are bright (its not super DARK/black but good enough for me). The lumens are enough that I can see the image with all the lights on or the sun shining in the window. The latency is VERY minimal, which is important as a raider in video games. The sound is surprisingly loud (but i have it off since I use my PC and speakers). The noise from the machine is as expected? Its a fan, you are going to have sounds but its quieter than my fridge!

Best price-value beamer on the market.
I've done weeks if not months of research before ordering this product. I got it at a good discount during the Black Friday event and I must say: the product definitely meets my expectations. The function of the beamer was going to be to replace my daily tv, run Zwift (virtual cycling game), but also be able to beam on the back of my house (outdoor cinema or watch the sports with friends). The illumination of the beamer is well-beyond expectation and the quality of the picture is splendid. I've only not tried out the 3D feature, but I will most likely never use this. So in short I can conclude for any day and nighttime activity this beamer meets my expectations, easy to use and - on top - it's compact enough to store it away when not in use. Note: I never use the build-in speaker so didn't put that in my review. It's "good enough" but I always hook the beamer to external speakers.
