Great product but hate the smell. The product itself came in the mail with some of it dripping on the outside, but I rinsed it off. They should have shipped it in something else besides a bag, but Amazon often ships things in the wrong/weird/oversized packaging so none of that was surprising. A tip I love to use when dying my hair is to use petroleum jelly along my hairline and on the tops of my ears, that way it doesn't dye my skin.Now for the good stuff. Covered everything great. Went to my hair stylist the next day. She commented on how little gray I had in my hair. I told her I used a dye shampoo and she had no idea. She said the color looked really pretty and brought out my highlights quite well. Anyways, I think with how easy this was to use and the fact that it looks natural, I will probably buy it again.

I wanted to wait until I used this product a few times before reviewing it, and after using it 2x in 6 months (have a lot of hair, just passed my shoulders), to cover my grays I am BEYOND THRILLED with it!1st, purchased DARK BROWN because I read it covered the grays the best.What a GORGEOUS color!It highlights itself beautifully as my hair becomes exposed to the sun due to work, taking long walks, going on our nature trails or gardening.Beautiful!Have had a number of compliments!2nd, still have product left for other applications. It is rich and NOT runny! Excellent to work with.3rd, I have never, ever, DIY hair colored before, and was petrified!After a botched job by a new beautician (my stylist moved), and spending $$ to get that horrible job done to boot, decided to try my hand at DIY4th, here is how I apply it after watching a number of different videos. Hope it's useful for you too:I shake the bottle very well before applying.Use stained towels to cover sink and all around me, just in case a drop makes it's way where it shouldn't (again, it is NOT runny).Obviously use plastic gloves and cover top with small stained towels I tuck into neckline to keep in place1st apply to my grays around my face, and at top of head where it naturally parts towards the back (my grays are more pronounced around front of my face vs anywhere else), and leave it on for about 1 to 2 minutes maximum.Then I apply in sections all around my head. Rub it thoroughly in, obviously not too crazily to avoid knotting my hair. Almost more like massaging it in vs hard rubs.I then take a wide toothed comb, and comb it through CAREFULLY to avoid spillage onto floor, and take the product on the comb to rub back in wherever I feel it is necessary.Rub it all in again (I do not add more product at this point, I massage thoroughly all around what is already there), comb through again, gently add excess off comb again where needed (pat it in this time), and set timer to lowest number of minutes, given that it took me a bit to do this (I work VERY slowly, maybe you won't I am still petrified, so am cautiously working this in).I then rinse THOROUGHLY as noted, towel dry, and style as usualLeaves hair super soft yet NOT flat. Love this product!Now, the 1st time I used it I did notice a funky odor to the product and my hair until I washed it with shampoo a few days later.That did not, at all, occur the 2x I used the product. Could be that it was sitting a bit in the container (I REALLY shook it the 2nd time, more than the 1st time).Will absolutely 💯 be ordering this product again when it runs out.Am SOOO happy with the results and ease of use, not to mention how it beautifully holds color as it also naturally highlights itself (and does NOT bleed through). I have been trying dyes for years and this has been, without a doubt, the most effective to cover my gray hair. The color was uniform, natural and without that "orange" tone that other products leave. The application was simple, the smell was not aggressive and the best: the color lasted several weeks without fading. 100% recommended for those looking for a reliable solution!

I am torn. I actually LOVE the results I got from this product as I have really dark brown hair (almost black) with tons of grey hair. I got the dark brown and it covered ALL my grey perfectly and it was really easy to use, especially for someone like myself who is in their late 40s and hasn’t colored their hair since high school. I seriously look 10 years younger as you can’t see any signs of grey whatsoever.My only concern is the ingredients. As someone who is very picky about using natural, non toxic products, this one is full of potentially harmful chemicals like ammonia, PPD, peroxide and more. They advertise it as a safe, herbal product but I’m not so sure about that. I have had a headache and sore throat since yesterday and some mild skin itching on my scalp and neck which is concerning as I have sensitive skin. It’s only been 24 hours since I used the product and I discovered that allergic reactions to PPD can take 2-3 days so hopefully this is the worst it gets for me. I am undecided if I will attempt to use it again or not. I have already started searching for alternatives that are more natural although I’m learning they are hard to find.Oh and this is probably obvious to those of you who color your hair frequently but be careful with your floors and cabinets! Our house is only a few years old and I didn’t notice that I had dripped some of the product onto my cabinets and flooring because the product is clear. It wasn’t until i went back into the bathroom 15-20 min later to wash out the product that I saw my beautiful cabinets totally destroyed with reddish, black dye ALL over! Luckily I was able to find some video tutorials on how to get out the dye but it wasn’t easy and I removed a little paint from my cabinets in the process. So, if I do use this again, I will be super careful about covering the surfaces around me because it will stain and ruin your stuff.

I'd been bombarded with ads on my feed for shampoo in dyes, so I was a bit skeptical. Got this last night and promptly tried it and, wow. So happy. It was so much easier to apply to roots than conventional dye. A little bit lathers up beautifully and goes a long way. Took half the time. I left it on hair for 30 minutes and experienced no itching or burning. The color is solid, completely eradicating all gray/white hair. The only discrepancy I have is that, contrary to all the reviews stating it does not stain skin, etc., it totally does, just like regular dye. Even though I thoroughly rinsed, it stained my baby blue towels.
