Reliable, heats up fast, quality for price
My credentials: I am an award winning roboticist specializing in the field of combat robotics which requires frequent soldering and desoldering of sometimes working electronics. My previous soldering iron, the x-tronic pro broke after two years of service. This soldering iron is comparable in price so I decided to give it a shot. Here is a list of its positive and negative attributes compared relative to other soldering irons in this price range. Merits: Heats up very quickly Pre programmed heat settings are a big plus Good grip on the soldering iron handle Ergonomic design, doesnโt take up too much space The magnifying glass makes you look like you know what youโre doing (aesthetic quality lol) Faults The power cord is shockingly short in comparison to my old x-tronic (this could be a problem in the pits at tournaments) The solder tips inner diameter do not seem to be standard size and my x-tronic tips do not work with this model The flux included is cheap, do not use Overall I can recommend as a good soldering iron in this price range

Great Iron For a Great Price
Genuinely impressed with this unit. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, and it handles very well. The unit is easy to use, heats up quick, and adjusting temperature is a breeze. The included accessories are great, although the only part I wish it had amongst all the accessories would be some small flush cutters. The included solder is pretty good, and small enough for PCB soldering at 0.8 mm. The only cons I have so far is the helping hands could be longer and the iron stand moved to a different spot, as it gets in the way of the helping hands and magnifying glass in some instances. Overall, for the price you're paying you're getting a great unit that'll keep your workflow steady.

A bit better than average for the price, but not great
Been using this for two years. It works fine and has some nice things about it, but is not great. Most of the 5 spare tips work well (WEP #1400 Soldering Iron Tips are compatible with T18 and 900M tips but not ST tips). The iron heats fast and the memory settings work well, but it may take a little while for the tip to reflect the setting temperature. I recommend following the instructions to verify the C/F setting by holding the plus key and turning it on (mine was set to F). The tip cleaner and the sponge compartment are awesome and make it really easy to keep the tips clean. The lead free solder wire and especially the solder wire holder are ineffective inclusions. The desoldering pump and tweezers are nice to haves, but are odd choices given the kit does not come with flux or desoldering braid. The tip storage is handy but its location is fixed on the right side. Unfortunately, the lamp/magnifier is also fixed and the neck is way, WAY too short to get up and over the helping hands. That is a shame since it's actually a pretty nice glass, complete with LED on/off switch. The hands on the helping hands unfortunately don't rotate, so you have to twist the arms, and the arm mounts are too far back, limiting their reach. Hence, the best way to mount the helping hands is to use the mount on the top-left and the unobvious mount on the left-side, and not the mount on the top-right. This will enable the helping hands to be closer together and be able to stretch further away from the unit, but may require rearranging your workspace. Like most stations at this price point, the biggest issue I have is the station just feels kind of awkward to use, and I ended up getting a separate helping hands work plate, which kind of defeated the purpose of getting a kit with hands and a lighted mag. Overall, this kit has most of what a beginner would need (except flux and decent solder), and if WEP had put a little more thought into it, it could have been great.

Solders like a champ
Caveat- amateur solderer. Bought this 6 months ago as a complete novice and learned how to properly solder with it. Since then I have burned through three rolls of solder making samplers, delays, reverbs and distortion circuits for my synthesizers. Once dialed in, this iron has been completely consistent without any issues other than it switches to "sleep" at the most unfortunate times. "Sleep" mode is also a safety feature and has greatly extended the life of the tips, so this is not a huge complaint (and it's probably adjustable, but I haven't dug out the destructions yet). The display is clear and bright and the three setting buttons make excellent shortcuts for dialing in different temps. The primary function of this iron is solid, it has been very consistent with temperature settings and does heat up rather quickly. However, I have stripped off all of the auxiliary doo-dads, like the solder roll holder, the mini magnifier and the little flexible clamps- these are all cheap and useless. Make life more efficient and invest in a decent LED lamp with a large magnifier to properly inspect your PCBs/stripboards etc., and shell out a few bucks for a decent helping hands clamp system that isn't attached to the solderer. I also just found replacement tips here on Amazon, so assuming this solid little beast holds out for another 6 months it will have been more than worth it. I've graduated to more complex circuits and actual synthesizer modules, and see no reason why this iron wouldn't last for quite a few more projects. For the price it really is a great little iron, regardless of the cheap peripheral gadgets.

Very nice soldering station
This setup turned out to be a very nice and workable soldering station. I do alot of soldering on my RC vehicles and batteries and this was a perfect fit. A very nice starter setup. Being able to adjust the heat and save the your settings is a great feature. Some of the battery wires that I solder to change out connectors can be a large gage, the adjustable temperature is great for a perfect solder on large and small wires. It comes with a variety of tips for all types of soldering. Be aware of one thing, the solder that comes with it is not a rosin core solder, so you may want to pick up a roll of different solder. For the cost of this station it's a very good deal.

โโโโโOutstanding Unit!!โโโโโ
This unit is much better than I anticipated. Very well packaged in a manner that waste no space and is compact. The multitude if components are each individually wrapped neatly and upon 1st test the unit performed extremely well. Assembly was so simple I never looked at any instructions. Has the features that are most needed built in and well placed. Hats off to the manufacturing company for a product that is efficient, heats up instantly, compact, performs very well and all at a price that is very affordable! If I could have given the item 6 stars I would have..Now the test of time begins as well as the customer service if needed test. I will update if there are problems as they may arise later. But as of today (1st day) I am very happy with the purchase. No updates = No issues.. Great product! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality high performance yet affordable soldering station.

Excellent performance and a very complete soldering kit
This soldering station kit exceeded my expectations. The 110W power allows it to heat up quickly, and the 3 preset channels make it easy to switch between temperature settings without hassle. The sleep mode is a great feature to save energy and extend the life of the tips. The built-in LED magnifier and helping hands make it much easier to work on small components with precision. It also includes 5 extra tips and a tip cleaner, which are very useful for keeping everything in good condition. Whether you're a hobbyist or doing more advanced electronics work, this kit is a solid choice. Highly recommended for its functionality, build quality, and the useful accessories it comes with.

Surprisingly awesome, nothing pretentious, just damn good no frills soldering
I bought this because my 400 dollar old yihua 900d? soldering stations soldering iron kept having issues. I figured it would be an ok stand in until i could afford something good, but this little soldering station is amazing. Its small size and light weight make it portable and convenient, the layout is great with the helping hands and lamp, everything you need and nothing you don't, all in well thought out spots. And i know this is a 60w and that os on the low side as these go, but i swear this thing heats up before i can line up my first solder every time, goes way higher than youd ever wanna go, its like a couple seconds, less than 10, maybe 5, and it holds a steady temp without any play, immediately compensates when you dip in flux or melt solder or otherwise cool the tip, it instantly bounces right back to where you have it set. It can memorize three different temperatures which are easily and intuitively changed, and it has a sleep mode. I like this station BETTER than i ever liked my bigger pricier one. Yeah so it doesnt have the hot air blower or cool infrared light that i never ended up never using(cept to cook ramens) but it can be setup on a kitchen counter, dresser, desk, anywhere with a plug, its super light and it has everything right in easy reach to smoothly handle 99% of electronic soldering jobs. The iron's cord is the only thing i could nitpick on its a little stiff and short.
