Great color, healthy hair!
This is just the color I was hoping for! My hair was auburn when I was a lot younger. It got darker and darker, losing my red as I got older. Then came the white and silver hairs. I realized that the dark hair gave my face a harsher look, especially after weight loss and a bad case of the flu! I needed a pick-me-up, needed to feel better about my aging look. I bought Schwarzkopf BlondMe 9+ with 20 vol developer. I knew with such dark hair that I'd need more than one go at getting it light enough to be a pretty blonde because I have fragile hair and going to a level 8 or 9 in one shot wouldn't be a good idea. I waited 10 days between bleaching (and let me tell you, that orangey-yellow was not beautiful!) and got it to almost a 9. The roots and most of the lengths were very light. The ends were still a touch yellowy. I ordered this stuff, in Medium Cool Blonde (cool would help diffuse those yellows). I put it on and BOOM! Perfect. Exactly what I wanted! I absolutely love it. My grays look like highlights. I couldn't be happier, and my hair is healthy! Going blonde from dark is possible, but DON'T RUSH! Take your time. Let your scalp and hair rest between applications if you can. :)

Salon-quality color at home… and it actually lasts
I’ve been coloring my hair at home since I was 15, and this is one of the few I genuinely feel confident recommending. I used Wella Color Charm with a custom mix of half 8N (Light Natural Blonde) and half 8G (Light Golden Blonde) and a 10 volume developer, applied with a bowl and brush, and the results honestly look like I had it done professionally. For reference, I started with medium auburn brown hair and visible grays around my part and hairline. My goal wasn’t a dramatic color change, I wanted to blend grays, soften my overall tone, and add some warmth and dimension. Why this formula worked: The 8N gave me reliable gray coverage, while the 8G added warmth so the result didn’t look flat or overly ashy. I used a 10 volume developer to be as gentle as possible, and it kept the result very natural. Application: I mixed everything in a bowl and applied with a brush to dry, sectioned hair. The liquid formula spreads very easily, which makes it great for even coverage, but it also means sectioning is important to stay controlled. Using a brush gave me a lot of precision, especially around my hairline where I have the most grays. The scent is definitely “salon-like,” but not overwhelming. Processing: I left it on for about 30 minutes, making sure the roots were fully saturated. No heat, I just popped it in a shower cap and went about my morning. Results: The color came out soft, dimensional, and really natural-looking. It doesn’t look like a flat box dye at all. The blend of neutral and gold tones is just right, warm without being brassy. Gray coverage was excellent, especially in the front. Everything blended seamlessly. I included a before-and-after photo because that’s always what helps me most when choosing a color. The difference in tone, shine, and overall polish is noticeable without looking overdone. Hair condition: My hair feels soft, smooth, and healthy, not dry or brittle. It actually looks shinier after coloring. Longevity: After several washes, the color is holding evenly with no patchiness or unwanted tones developing. Things to keep in mind: -This is a more “pro-style” product, so you’ll need to mix your own formula -The liquid consistency is easier to control with a bowl and brush than a bottle -Full saturation is key for the best gray coverage Overall: This combination gave me exactly what I was hoping for, natural color, dimension, and solid gray coverage with a professional-looking finish. If you’re comfortable with a more salon-style application, it’s absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely keep using this mix.

My hair looks good and healthy
As someone who struggles with gray hair coverage and dullness, finding a hair dye that delivers professional-quality results at home has been a game-changer. The WELLA Colorcharm Demi Permanent Hair Color is truly a standout product, offering exceptional coverage, vibrant color, and added gloss with every application. First and foremost, the coverage provided by this hair dye is outstanding. Whether I'm targeting stubborn grays or simply refreshing my overall color, the WELLA Colorcharm formula penetrates deeply into the hair shaft, ensuring even and thorough coverage from root to tip. The result is a beautifully uniform color that looks natural and salon-worthy. One of the standout features of this hair dye is its demi-permanent formula. Unlike traditional permanent dyes, which can be harsh and damaging to the hair, WELLA Colorcharm Demi Permanent Hair Color is gentle and nourishing, leaving my hair feeling soft, smooth, and healthy after each use. Plus, the added gloss ensures a radiant shine that lasts for weeks. The application process is straightforward and hassle-free, thanks to the creamy consistency of the dye and the included developer. Whether I'm applying it as an all-over color or just touching up my roots, the dye spreads easily and evenly, resulting in flawless results with minimal effort. Another aspect I appreciate is the range of shades available in the WELLA Colorcharm line. From rich brunettes to vibrant reds to cool blondes, there's a shade to suit every preference and skin tone. Plus, the demi-permanent formula allows for easy experimentation with different colors, as it gradually fades over time without leaving harsh lines or demarcations. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the WELLA Colorcharm Demi Permanent Hair Color. Its exceptional coverage, nourishing formula, and vibrant color payoff make it my go-to choice for at-home hair coloring. If you're looking for salon-quality results without the salon price tag, look no further than this fantastic hair dye. Highly recommended! My social media on tiktok: @alexisaldana97

7n adjust your expectations and youll be fine
This is definitely darker than anyone's expectation of this product id say. I dont even think this is light brown much less in the range of level 7 hair. It is medium brown and is closer to level 5 hair. I was level 8/9 bleached blonde before as you can see in the photo. I used the 7n with 10 volume, painted just the roots and left it for 10 min before spreading it all over the hair and leaving it for a couple minutes before rinsing off. I was a bit confused when it was wet as it had a weird yellow sheen to it which conflicts with the blue base and gives off almost forest green vibes. I think because my base was so light the components of the "neutral" tones were clashing. However once it dried, it turned a nice ashy medium brown. I wanted to be a bronde so this is much darker than my anticipated outcome but im not mad about it. It looks even and filled my very very empty cuticles nicely. The color reminds me of the viral teddy bear brunette. Since this is demi permanamt and my hair was very light itll fade overtime as well and im looking forward to that.

Perfect color
This Demi permanent color was a life saver. I ended up using a high lift color and my hair got too light and I was able to use this and the color turned beautiful! Nice and neutral. Easy to mix up with developer, I used 20 vol but 10 is what you are supposed to use. I left it on for about 20 minutes and it's a great result.

Incredible results and so easy to use!
GAME CHANGER!! I am so so happy with this product and excited to stop paying $90-115 at the salon for Demi-permanent color and gloss. I was already a fan of how Demi-color tints gray hair at my hairline, but I have never colored my hair at home before. It was so easy! I got a plastic cup and squirted an amount the size of a cherry; then I added double of the developer ($9). I used a medium size make up brush to stir it just because I had one on hand he used it to paint my grays on my hairline (I was being careful to not touch my skin, but it didn’t seem harsh and didn’t smell so I don’t know if I needed to be so careful). Then I took the rest of it and applied through more of my hair. 20 minutes later I should’ve paid it out and it looks even better than the salon. My hair was thicker, shinier, softer and grays were all covered or tinted. None of those crazy permanent color fumes, stains, or pages of instructions. If you haven’t used this kind of product before you should take time to figure out your shade; I was surprised my color had the word blonde because I’m definitely a brunette and used 7WG. It’s the color of caramel or a dark honey. In the picture all of my hairline is gray hair underneath, and it blends beautifully and looks like a highlight. I had been told the N colors were best at covering gray, but this did just fine. Even if this color only lasts a month I don’t care bc it was so easy and so much cheaper. I put the tube cap on tight and plan to use it 6 months.

Not worth your time, energy, or money!!
For those who don't want to read a novel (although I suggest you do since I know these were not fully beginner mistakes): Very messy application, color is patchy after thorough application, color lasted worse than a semi permanent dye, lifted roots in a weird way For those who want to understand the full issue: This color is a mess in so many ways, the inconsistency between the different colors is insane. I have tried 6g, 7wg, 7rr, and 5rr and I can't say I've been pleased with any of them. The 6g and 7wg are probably the better of the ones I've tried, since they stayed pretty good, but the 7wg faded horribly fast for me. The 6g didn't really budge (I only kept the color for around 2 weeks) and when I bleached my hair (I should have used a color remover but I didn't) my hair turned a nasty orange so be aware of that, that's most likely due to the golden undertones. For the red shades, I know they fade fast because that is the nature of the hair color and molecules but these reds faded too fast, I've used semi permanents that have lasted significantly longer than this. I tried to mix 7wg, 5rr, and 7rr, and got a gorgeous Auburn color but after ONE wash in super cold water, literally all of the color rinsed out. I thought it was maybe my bleached hair that caused the color to not stick (I FILLED the hair beforehand so the starting shade was 1-2 levels lighter than my final goal shade) but even on my healthy roots, the color is gone. Bare in mind I'm not clueless on hair color so I used special sulfate and paraben/ color safe shampoo and that still happened. The application process was also way too messy, this new formula is significantly more liquidy so if you can, use a bottle for application and be prepared to clean up a lot. The color runs a ton but that's to be expected with red shades. Red dye generally does fade faster and run a lot, because of the larger dye molecules, but this was excessive for a demi permanent shade. Lastly, I like to oversaturate my hair and do very small sections so I KNOW I don't miss any spots so with this hair color, I used 2 1/2 tubes of color and the corresponding amount of developer (I measured everything) and did my very small sections and cross checked as I usually do when I apply color. The color came out patchy in some areas and looked like I didn't saturate or section enough, which I know I didn't do. Again, that could be due to my bleached hair and uneven porosity but the patchiness happened in areas other than my "problem area" or super porous area. Also I fully understand 10 volume developer can have some lifting capabilities but now that the color has washed out, my roots are not the same color they were before, which makes this the most bizarre experience I have ever had with a demi permanent color. I've used other brands in the past and my natural color stayed the same but that's not the case with this stuff. I've never gambled before but this hair color truly feels like I did. I've now wasted $35, all of my Sally's rewards, and a lot of time trying to make this stuff work but it never did. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this hair color! If you have light enough natural hair or bleached hair and use semi permanent dye, yes it could wash out fast but compared to this demi permanent color, it would be more worth it since there's no developer, less damage. What ever you do, I would stay away from this garbage. ***Final thoughts: This demi permanent color behaves a lot like a semi permanent color (running and fading fast) but in my experience, way worse. Please keep all of these things in mind if you decide to purchase, you are putting developer in your hair, damaging your hair, for a subpar result. I have experience and there's always room to learn, but this was unlike any other color I have used.***

Best affordable hair gloss!!
This hair gloss worked wonders on my hair!! I have naturally dark brown hair but I wanted to go a little darker without breaking the bank and I’m so happy I discovered this! You just mix it with the color developer, apply it with gloves or a hair applicator and let it sit for 20 minutes then rinse it out and it leaves your hair a beautiful color and super soft and shiny for days to weeks! I highly recommend!!
