Will this work on anodized aluminum trim to be able to polish it ?

I used the product on bare aluminum rims. It would clean them, then I would use a polish to buff them out.

WIll this brighten up a transmission case?

The metal pre clean does give a surface a decent shine unlike an aluminum brightener (which is an acid and causes cloudy dull whiteness). For even more luster shine, use the flitz polish after the pre clean.

Can i use this to remove rust from a bird cage?

Yes, but rinse and wipe immediately. Then blow dry and let stand empty for a few hours.

Can this be used to stop pitting corrosion in an aluminum boat?

Use clear alodine to stop the corrosion
