Crown336 7-Inch Shave hook Set, 3-Piece

A friend loaned me his set when I was restoring some century-old fir doors with layers of lead paint fused into the contours and corners of the panel profiles. They worked so well, I had to buy a set for myself. They're really a surgical tool, perfect for finish-scraping old doors, moulding, frames -- anything with curves, coves, and tough, hard-to-reach details. They're pretty amazing.

Strong quality product for its price. Very well worth the price.

Honestly, these scrapers are great. My only set back is that we've used them so much that the blades have gotten wiggly and one even fully spins around the rivet. So if the blades were interchangeable these would be 5 stars for sure! May have to have a buddy hit the tops of them with his welder🤔

I bought two sets, one as a gift. Ferrules were totally loose on all 6 scrapers. They appear never to have been crimped. And as others have said, sharpening of the edges is extremely poor. They must be out scraping them on the sidewalk to produce an edge like these come with. Once I sharpened them and crimped the ferrules they are decent tools. That should not have been necessary. Sad to see a formerly reputable tool maker like Crown adopting Chinese manufacturing quality standards.

Sturdier than I thought they would be. Seen me through some serious old house renovation and still holding up. Buy them.

when I read previous reviews, I was hesitant to buy these, but I definitely needed the shapes to strip my 1923 woodwork - the straight edged items I was using were chopping into the curved woodwork! I found these shave hooks to be pretty sharp and well made. I am extremely happy with my purchase and they did well on keeping to the curves while cleaning off the stripper. The shine didn't stay after cleaning, but the edge did. very happy with my purchase. (I did not give a 5 stars because I never do 5 stars)

Good quality and value with prompt delivery. I had been looking for various types of shave hooks heads and this product was by a reputable make at a reasonable price, even with the postage. Very satisfied.

the basis of a quality tool, however finished really badly. Uneven sharpening, large amount of burr, the triangle had a tip ground off completely.

Bought these with the heat gun, they do the job
